"Million Veteran Program questionnaire. Anyone get one? Questions? MVP

Okay, weird nosey questions being asked by VA.

My hubby just received an offer to sign up for MVP (Million Veteran Program) which is a voluntary research plan to help researchers better understand how genes effect health and illness with supposed goal to help improve healthcare for veterans.

All sorts of nosy questions about race, disabilities, eye color, skin color before tanning, how much you drink, diseases you have, hearing, vision and digestion, blah blah. The same as any doctor asks.

The pamphlet says it is very important to study genes. The risks include blood draws and a breach of confidentiality. You may discover you have a family health condition you weren’t already aware of and all samples are secure in VA biorepositories.

They say they want to study him to find out new ways of preventing and treating illnesses in Veterans and all Americans.

Hubby is signed up with VA services, doesn’t use them, didn’t get the jab and doesn’t go to doctor unless he is sick, or anymore since he retired. I think they either want to know if he is still alive or why he is still alive, may even want to change that with our current administration in charge, LOL! Hubby is part Native American and part Lithuanian.

I told him he would do this plan over my dead body. Just a way to get your DNA and figure out a way to remove seniors which they missed on first go round.

Anyone else received one or has participated in this?"
