Strange because I had a roommate in college whose father was from Utah and still had family there. But him, and his family left and didn't speak to them at all. (reminded me of the amish with being shunned)
Remember trying to speak about God with the roommate, and it really damaged his spiritual side. He was very against the idea of God, and it surprised me at the time because I couldn't understand why the unacceptable.
Slowly learning that they must have known some things, or seen evil veiled under the name of God that destroyed their faith…
Sad.
Thankful for a place to be able to understand these things though, and have a such a great company of people guiding and not hiding.veiling truth.
It truly does set people free.
