Rice pudding. Have you ever had it? It's really really strange as I never ever actually crave rice pudding. I've had it…and I like it, but it's just not one of those fucking grandma's kitchen type of dessert concoctions that I'm okay with never having it again. The only reason why I'm eating rice pudding right now is because I made some rice and I had a lot left over, so I decided to go ahead and make a batch of rice pudding in the oven. I didn't have raisins, so I substituted with chopped apples. It was good, I'm eating it right now, it is a type of comfort food, I guess. But I have no lingering love for this strangely curious clump of gelatinous starch, egg, and butter! Whomever the chav was that invented that gruel, hats off to ya mate; however, I have fonder memories of a bowl of good stout oats.
