>the patience of a saint
Patience comes from security. If one has all the resources they need for survival, which is given based upon perceived value, it is easier to be selective. When resources become scarce and survival is at stake, there is little security and patience can turn into select before there are no choices to make or else die.
To make an advantageous deal with someone based upon their jeopardy is self serving. To make a deal with someone based upon the realization of a better world is serving God's Kingdom. I think he does the latter not the former. Define Latter Day Saint.
