I was in the honors program in high school. I probably moved too often as a kid to be in any programs like that. I was kinda quiet. They had me pegged as being slower than I was, but I could read by the time I got to kindergarten. I was quite happy to share that skill with my 1st grade teacher so that I could go to the afternoon reading class and out of the morning one.
Yeah, maybe it's just as well that they underestimated me at school. They had no idea that a medical encyclopedia was among my favorite books prior to elementary school.
