It is, I attempted to breakdown some basic .exe files. It was interesting to look at, but I had no idea what it was I was looking at. I think it maybe strips out the source code.

If I remember correctly when it came out it was suggested that many of the apps and programs that are frequently used have backdoors and other malware type features implanted.
