Deeply personal question for Q and POTUS;

BLUF: are we done sending our troops to war for /them/?

Youngest daughter-anon just graduated and wants to join the military. She watched her dad deploy in combat for two years of her life, so she kind of understands the commitment. We discussed all branches and their specific missions. When I explained to her about the Marines, and then told her that they are truly protecting POTUS from real threats, it pretty much sealed the deal. She wants to be a United States Marine.

My dilemma; I do not want my offspring volunteering to defend American soil and American souls, but then be sent to fight simply to build /their/ empire, like her old man ended up doing.

Are we good? Can I trust that the new America will only use forces for the National Defense?
