The Terrence Yeakey story is important for so many reasons. That CNN chose to cover it suggests to me they know they will disappear as "journalists" (AI can easily replace) unless they discuss things that are real.

Don't know if it's now buried, but one of the comments clarified things for anon. Apparently, the bill would allow the tracing of financing for media reports. Doesn't seem like an acceptable way to do this, however.
Perhaps a general principle with media stories should be the disclosure of potentially conflicted funding or acceptance of payments for content. What if Pfizer and Fox News had to disclose funding levels from advertising and inside contracts?
