I think you need to operationally define what you mean by “society.”
Personally, I think we should avoid throwing out the baby with the bath water, which is why posted this substack which seems relevant for those of us contemplating how we move forward.
I think we can go back to our founding principles outlined in the DOI and US Constitution, but with explicit revisions prohibiting “human slavery”, business “monopolies” & privately owned “central banks” that print paper money not backed by actual assets.
I would say the same thing about going back to the NT gospels and teachings of Christ before a new religion was formally instituted (corrupted) by the State of Rome.
Christ came to remind us of the spirit of the law, freeing us from the written laws of the State.
There was nothing in the Gospels that suggested that “sins” should be criminalized under a juridical system of countless laws and regulations that grows perpetually.
Professional interests are served by making what is simple seem difficult. By sacrificing the laity to the priesthood.
We can go back to the incarnation and start over from there learning from our mistakes.
