IoT appliances are pathetic. "Fancy, fancy" tech is mostly annoying. Back in the day American made appliances were SOLID and lasted for decades. Anon did not have to read some stupid code off the washer and drain stinking water from the bottom of the washer. The controls were simple and non digital and the washer did not sound like a jet engine while operating. Refrigerator did not leak water into freezer compartment where it forms into 3 inch ice sheets requiring mallet to crack and remove. Refrigerator did not require water filter changes, nor did the plastic removable buckets crack easily. Dishwasher didn't take forever to run and require rinse aid. Anon could probably go on…

Definitely Church. My NJ family didn't do BBQ chicken but I remember something like this:

Chicken baked in the oven with Ritz crackers and butter. The pan drippings were fantastic and you could put them on top of potatoes.
