They're filtering for the evidence to reverse sentences and give to defendants. While it would be more efficient to give it to the anons, it would also be out there for the enemy to use and abuse and create more false narratives. Destroy their false narrative first and free the POWs, THEN release it all. That way they'll be too exposed to use the full material to build narratives or try to open cases against others.
This, I assume, is the strategy, albeit lots of wailing from the peanut gallery, both the liberal media and anons
