I wanna rip apart the so called Skeptic movement. These fuckers are such frauds. They're definitely right on many things, but mostly they're just there to uphold the status quo.

They always are so snarky with their debunking. They're not true skeptics and do not employ anything close to the scientific method when debunking, because in virtually all cases they start of with the assumption that "This is wrong, let me show you why!"

I guarantee you turtle-neck fuckers like Brian Dunning don't take a "theory" as if True first, before trying to smash it. Then they just regurgitate weak rebuttals and don't consider the rebuttal to the rebuttal.

It's a faux debate. I used to envy and admire these people, but lately any time I listen to something like Skeptics Guide to the Universe, I'm always screaming, "BUT WHAT ABOUT XYZZ!!"

They're basically the choir set up to laugh at any decent.
