Awww: Don Lemon ‘Sulking' Around CNN Set

Matt Margolis

Don Lemon, who, for the moment, is still co-anchor of CNN This Morning, is reportedly “sulking” around the CNN studio and “acting like he’s the victim.”

Sources tell RadarOnline that weeks after Lemon’s remarks about Nikki Haley being “past her prime,” tensions still haven’t improved between him and co-anchors Poppy Harlow and Kaitlin Collins.

“Don is acting like he’s the victim. He is very quiet behind the scenes,” a source disclosed. “He is moping around the joint like he’s the one who has been wronged.”

Another insider revealed that “Poppy and Kaitlin have buddied up and the bond between them is stronger than ever.”

Overall, things aren’t looking good for Lemon. “Poppy and Kaitlin had private discussions about the situation and are both on the same page,” still another source dished. “There is a movement rising inside CNN, and it isn’t in support of Don.”

Portland's Last Two Walmart Stores Closing Because of ShopliftingRick Moran

The last two Walmart stores in Portland, Ore., are closing as of March 24 because “the stores are not meeting expectations financially,” the company said in a statement.

“This decision was not made lightly and was reached only after a thorough review process. We have nearly 5,000 stores across the U.S., and unfortunately, some do not meet our financial expectations. While our underlying business is strong, these specific stores haven’t performed as well as we hoped,” a spokesperson told the Washington Examiner.

The company claims there’s “no single cause” for the store closings but in December, President and CEO of Walmart Inc. Doug McMillon said that “theft is an issue. It is higher than what it has historically been.”

He also said that “if that is not corrected, over time, prices will be higher and/or stores will close.”

Nike Shoes has offered to pay Portland police to guard its Portland store. Over the past year, crooks have hit Consign Couture’s Washington Square location 19 times, stealing more than $56,000 dollars in merchandise, according to the owner. She’s closing the store for good. The crime spree has been fueled by lax police enforcement.

Apparently recognizing that some businesses see shoplifting as a problem, Portland police conducted an anti-shoplifting “blitz” on March 5 that netted:

34 arrests

28 warrants serviced

7 stolen vehicles recovered

$3,006.32 in recovered stolen merchandise

Not very impressive. No wonder Walmart has given up.

Washington Examiner:

In 2022, the National Retail Federation revealed that retail shrink led to $94.5 billion in losses for companies. The 2022 National Retail Security Survey also found that retailers overwhelmingly pointed to increases in violence, shoplifting, organized retail crime, and employee theft due to the pandemic as reasons for heightened risk for their companies.

“The factors contributing to retail shrink have multiplied in recent years, and ORC is a burgeoning threat within the retail industry,” NRF Vice President for Research Development and Industry Analysis Mark Mathews said at the time. “These highly sophisticated criminal rings jeopardize employee and customer safety and disrupt store operations. Retailers are bolstering security efforts to counteract these increasingly dangerous and aggressive criminal activities.”

“For a long time we kind of let everyone get away with it, we just didn’t have the resources to actually touch on it, so now it’s good to actually be able to arrest people and hold them accountable, and hopefully, you know, get them help as they need,” said Jordan Zaitz of Portland Police’s Neighborhood Response Team.

Just letting everyone “get away with it?” And even enforcing the law demands that criminals be treated as victims who should get “help as they need”? Nothing is going to change in Portland until the police, the politicians, and the prosecutors all decide to punish lawbreakers and enforce the law. Otherwise, stores may as well put out a sign: “Everything on sale — if you want to pay for it. Otherwise, help yourself.”

Treasury Official Backs out of Testifying Friday About Biden Family’s ‘Suspicious’ Wire Transfers

Wendell Husebø8 Mar 2023

Treasury Department official Jonathan Davidson, who was set to testify Friday about the agency withholding the Biden family’s “suspicious” bank records, has “declined to attend the hearing.” His absence means House Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) must again threaten the use of a subpoena to compel the 150 suspicious activity reports (SARs) generated by U.S. banks.

Davidson was scheduled to testify Friday at 9:00 AM about the Biden family SARs, which “often contain evidence of potential criminal activities, such as money laundering and fraud,” according to a 2020 Senate report.

But Comer’s Tuesday evening press release stated Davidson has “declined to attend the hearing” after the Treasury has refused to “give a timeline of when such documents will be provided to the Committee despite our repeated accommodations.”

Davidson’s refusal to answer questions about withholding Biden family bank records comes after questions were raised about whether his testimony would be tainted with political bias.

He previously worked for Biden on the 2020 transition team and was nominated to the Treasury position by his former boss. Moreover, he worked on Capitol Hill for more than 20 years in Democrat politics. Davison is also married to Erin Sheehy, who is a partner at Education Forward DC, an organization that seeks to advance “equity in DC public schools.”

Davidson’s political background comes as he is employed by a nonpartisan, taxpayer-funded department that has refused to comply with Comer’s investigation of the Biden family. Comer’s probe seeks to determine if President Joe Biden is compromised by the Chinese Communist Party and how new legislation should be designed to prevent influence peddling.

“These suspicious activity reports are important to our investigation to help us follow the money and determine the national security implications of the Biden family’s shady business deals,” Comer explained Tuesday. “Biden’s Treasury Department’s obstruction will soon compel us to use the power of the gavel to obtain these documents.”

“We are done with the excuses and calling on Assistant Secretary Jonathan Davidson to answer questions under the penalty of perjury next week,” he continued. “Treasury Department officials have repeatedly said that they are cooperating with the Committee’s request but all we’ve seen is obstruction. We’ve offered multiple good faith accommodations, but Treasury continues to provide excuses and employ delay tactics.”

Comer demanded Davidson to sit for a transcribed interview. “Therefore, the Committee requests that you, as Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs within Treasury, make yourself available for a transcribed interview with Committee staff on March 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in Rayburn House Office Building, Room 2157.”

It is unclear if Davidson will comply.

In February, Comer warned stonewalling tactics will warrant a subpoena as the next step. “For the subpoenas to win in court, we have to give them every opportunity to supply that information to us,” Comer said. “The ball is in their court.”

“We can’t fully understand the extent of what these laws need to be until we know the exact amount of money that the Biden family took in, including from the sources,” Comer explained, noting the family has made at least “tens of millions of dollars” from many business deals spanning at least 12 separate nations over the years.

Biden Climate Envoy John Kerry Says China Tensions Hurts His Climate Talks. Boo Hoo!

Jacob Bliss7 Mar 2023

Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry says the tensions between the United States and China are hurting the talks he was having on the climate.

Kerry, who holds a cabinet-level position in the Biden administration — that did require a Senate confirmation — and has authority over energy and climate policy within the executive branch, told Axios that the tensions between the two counties are hurting the talks.

“Regrettably, in the last year … what was not supposed to happen has happened, which is the climate issue has gotten mixed up into all the other tensions that exist between our countries,” Kerry told Axios at the CERAWeek. “And so they’ve kind of pulled back a little bit, expressing the feeling that all we’re doing is bashing them and bashing them.”

The two countries made a joint declaration in late 2021 on taking aggressive action toward emissions. Axios noted Kerry also had a “productive working relationship” with his Chinese counterpart going back to the Obama administration (when Biden was also vice president). However, Kerry last spoke to his Chinese counterpart about a month ago but noted that the person had recently been ill.

Last month, it was reported that he had been holding climate negotiations with his Chinese counterpart, which House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) decided to probe recently, as Kerry has not released details of his meetings.

Comer requested some transparency to understand Kerry’s activities while sitting on the National Security Council and Biden’s cabinet. Kerry’s position, which did not exist before President Joe Biden appointed him, is housed in the State Department with an estimated annual budget of $13.9 million and 45 personnel, according to Fox News.

As Kerry noted, tensions between China and the U.S. appear to have grown over the last year, specifically in the previous month.

In early February, the U.S. military shot down a Chinese balloon that was believed to be surveillance aircraft over the Atlantic Ocean off the Carolina coast. Despite U.S. officials claiming it was a spy balloon with surveillance capability, China maintains it was just an off-course weather balloon.

Additionally, China appeared to be bothered by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) making plans to visit Taiwan; however, the communist country was also angered by then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) visiting the island nation last year, despite multiple warnings.

Southern Poverty Law Center Defends Attorney Arrested for Alleged Domestic Terrorism

Paul Bois7 Mar 2023

The far-left smear organization known as the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has defended one of its attorneys after police arrested him for alleged domestic terrorism.

As Breitbart News reported on Monday, this past weekend, far-left agitators allegedly threw Molotov cocktails and launched fireworks at an Atlanta police training facility that has been under construction. Among the 23 people arrested for what police called a “coordinated attack” is Thomas Jurgens, 28, a staff attorney at the SPLC. Following the arrest, Jurgens’ Linkedin page was deleted. Jurgens hails from Georgia but was allegedly with people from out of state.

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) did not address any of the alleged violence that unfolded over the weekend and defended Jurgens as having been a “legal observer” of the protest.

An employee at the SPLC was arrested while acting — and identifying — as a legal observer on behalf of the National Lawyers Guild (NLG).The employee is an experienced legal observer, and their arrest is not evidence of any crime, but of heavy-handed law enforcement intervention against protesters,” the organization said.

“This is part of a months-long escalation of policing tactics against protesters and observers who oppose the destruction of the Weelaunee Forest to build a police training facility,” it continued. “The SPLC has and will continue to urge de-escalation of violence and police use of force against Black, Brown and Indigenous communities — working in partnership with these communities to dismantle white supremacy, strengthen intersectional movements and advance the human rights of all people.”…

Kek! So fucking ridiculous.

Mollie is funny, but accurate.

Poso, Kash and Andrew on Kirk show they had a theory that Schumer’s threat made FOX pull the Carlson show last night. No videos came out which had everyone enthralled.

Murdoch being sued by Dominion was a lot of pressure but both Schumer and McConnell coming out probably squashed the free speech rights of the media. I thought the same thing when I saw it, where’s the video? Perhaps Tucker saying “liars, lied” so much was a bit much. I’m glad he said it, but DC are a hateful powerful group and they use the media as a bludgeon.

Tucker better come out with more video, otherwise this will be a bust
