New York City To Pay $6.88 Million to 320 BLM Protesters for 2020 Protests and Riots
The Black Lives Matter riots during the summer of 2020 destroyed thousands of businesses across the country and cost up to $2 billion in property damage. Democrats incited the BLM mobs for months. On June 4th, about 10 minutes before a curfew was set to begin in New York City (NYC), New York Police Department officers allegedly engaged in “kettling” to surround and confine activists protesting George Floyd’s death in a Bronx neighborhood. The police were accused of using force, including batons and pepper spray. NYC has agreed to pay a total of $6.88 million to more than 300 BLM protesters, with each receiving $21,500 in compensation. Critics point out that the BLM protesters were often violent and provoked police.
