I've got a hunch about something. The information that Jacqueline Breger found may be bigger than the Sinaloa cartels paying off politicians. I had a conversation with someone who appears to be the victim of some kind of identity theft, a type of scam that may be originating in nursing homes. When people go into nursing homes, they basically sign over their lives. They are going into a custodial situation. They lose control of their property. It seems to me a very insidious type of human trafficking. Well, this person was in a nursing home, but they got better and got out. And it seems that whoever thinks they own this person is trying to get them back into a custodial situation.

So what Jacqueline Breger reported may be the tip of the iceberg.

From the victim's side of things, who should they go to for help with a situation like this?

>In the US, you could look up "aging and disability services" or maybe just "adult protective services".

Thank you. I'll pass that information on.

But really, I wonder how many of those fraudulent mortgages and titles can be traced back to the type of stuff that Jacqueline Breger found. The situation with the person I talked to on the phone is different. In that case, it may be scams of insurance and benefits.
