EU Demands Elon Musk Hires More Censorship Staff for Twitter

The European Union (EU) is ramping up pressure on Elon Musk as the bloc demands that the Twitter boss censors users on his social media platform.

The EU disagrees with Musk’s plans to use volunteer Twitter users and AI to moderate content on the platform.

In response, EU regulators have told Musk to hire more human censors and so-called “fact-checkers,” according to a report by The Financial Times.

Musk has been looking for ways to salvage the loss-making business he acquired for $44 billion last October.

One of Twitter’s main problems was its ongoing attacks against the free speech of the platform’s users due to the company’s relentless pursuit of the “woke” agenda.

Shortly after taking over, Musk terminated over half of Twitter’s staff and gutted the company’s censorship department.

Like many other social media platforms, Twitter uses a mix of AI and human moderators to police content.

However, unlike Meta-owned Facebook and Instagram, it does not rely on sleazy left-wing “fact-checkers.”

In place of “fact-checkers,” Twitter has a volunteer moderators feature called Community Notes.

Community Notes allows other Twitter users to counter misleading information.

The EU is concerned that Twitter might not be able to comply with the Digital Services Act (DSA).

The DSA requires large platforms to be more proactive in the censorship of content.

Twitter and other large platforms are expected to comply with the new censorship law by September 2023.

In meetings with Twitter, EU regulators have acknowledged that Community Notes could flag misleading information, the same way Wikipedia editors achieve the same result.

In a statement, the European Commission said: “We believe that ensuring sufficient staff is necessary for a platform to respond effectively to the challenges of content moderation, which are particularly complex in the field of hate speech.

“We expect platforms to ensure the appropriate resources to deliver on their commitments.”

This is a suitable judgment on man because you will remember in Romans chapter 1 it says in verse 18, “The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,” – listen to this – “because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen.” Man should have been able to look at his world and the immense creation and have concluded that there is a God and that God is powerful. They should have seen God in the creation. But they did not.

Man has failed to honor God, failed to recognize God, gives God no thanks, gives God – gives God no place, rejects His manifest glory in the creation and worships the creature and the creation, rather than the Creator.

That’s – that preoccupation with Mother Nature, that environmental atheism, that evolutionist that says God is in everything and everything is God. That kind of atheism that says man is no more valuable than a frog, or a rat or a rock. Three quarters of a million people were in the last New York Central Park Earth Day worshiping the earth, the creation instead of the Creator. And so God will destroy their false god. Men have made a god out of the earth and animals and even themselves. And God will devastate the earth and its animal population as well as its human population. People worry about the ozone, God’s going to destroy the ozone layer. All that stuff flying out of the sky is going to do a number on the ozone layer for certain.

God will take over and God will get involved in global warming. God will turn up the heat. God will destroy the rain forests. God will slaughter the plants and the animals. And as I’ve been saying to you all along,if you think we’re messing up this world, wait till you see what He does to it. And not only will their source of life be taken, but their god will be destroyed, for their god is the creation.

CIA issued advance Nord Stream warning to allies – WSJ

The notice reportedly contained an alert that a pro-Ukrainian group was plotting to sabotage the pipelines

The CIA warned allies in the EU about a potential attack by a pro-Ukrainian group on the Nord Stream gas pipelines, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing intelligence officials.

According to the report, around June and July of last year, the CIA informed Germany’s Federal Intelligence Service (BND) and other European agencies that three Ukrainian nationals were trying to rent out ships in states around the Baltic Sea, including Sweden, in preparation to target the pipelines, which were eventually attacked in September.

As early as one month after the blasts, CIA Director William Burns and the White House’s national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, were said to have been considering the possibility that Kiev had orchestrated the sabotage on the pipelines built to deliver Russian gas to Germany.

The report comes after the New York Times cited US officials on Tuesday as saying that an unidentified “pro-Ukrainian group” may have carried out the bombing. The WSJ said this assessment by US intelligence officials “isn’t definitive” and that they claimed they saw “no indication” that the alleged perpetrators had ties to the Ukrainian government.

German news organizations reported this week that investigators were looking at a yacht operated by a Polish-based company that was “apparently” owned by two Ukrainians, in a possible connection with the sabotage. The German authorities later confirmed that they had searched the vessel in January, but did not disclose details about any items seized.

The new reports about alleged Ukrainian involvement contradict last month’s investigation by veteran journalist Seymour Hersh, who cited a source as claiming that the bombing was carried out by the US with help from Norway. The US and Ukraine have both denied any involvement, and the White House dismissed Hersh’s claims as “utterly false.”

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov suggested on Wednesday that the reports about a Ukrainian link were an attempt to divert attention from the real perpetrators and absolve NATO countries. “Obviously, this is a coordinated media hoax campaign,” Peskov said.

Moscow has argued that the West is not really interested in a comprehensive international investigation of the incident.
