Ukraine saying it won't matter but are sending reinforcements. Russia has a pincer movement built in behind it. Ukraine has lost 250K men. All that cash on Zelenskyy's desk cannot be worth what he is doing. Go to the table, actor-boy. Russia won't stop.

What was Cyrus the Great known for?

He set the Jews free from their Babylonian Captivity that had taken place decades before. Cyrus facilitated their return to the promised land and he became a notable figure in the Jewish scripture as a savior who helped them build the Second Temple in Jerusalem.

Cyrus, a heathen Zoroastrian, is well spoken of in the Bible:

Thus saith the Lord to my anointed Cyrus, whose right hand I have taken hold of, to subdue nations before his face, and to turn the backs of kings, and to open the doors before him, and the gates shall not be shut. [Isaias (Isaiah) 45:1]

Besides his dealings with the Jews, Cyrus is known for his advancement of human rights, his brilliant military strategy, and his bridging of Eastern and Western cultures. He was a king of tremendous influence and a person God used to help fulfill an important Old Testament prophecy. Godโ€™s use of Cyrus as a โ€œshepherdโ€ for His people illustrates the truth of Proverbs 21:1, โ€œThe kingโ€™s heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.โ€
