So they openly slam him for being a larp and by doing so they actually let more and more people know about him. Now let's say there comes a point when POTUS openly admits Q works with him, these people already know who Q is without having to explain it to them. Only this time they will know all those " right-wing conspiracy theories" fake news undermined him for, were actually true.
