my take on the FDIC overlorders saying 'no cost to tax payers' is that the cost of banking will be raised to back-stop their loses.
but people who are taxpayers are also the users of banks, so , technically, it's a lie that it won't cost tax payers.
Unless no taxpayers ever use banking services with the new fees to cover the cost of their self-bailout.

and they lied about 'no cost to taxpayers' what they should have said is that it wouldn't be put on the debt or paid through the Treasury.
because taxpayers use banking, and banking costs will now rise, and those tax payers who bank wil lhave to pay the higer fees.
