The U.S. Treasury and the Federal Reserve are jointly preparing to launch a program to backstop deposits in excess of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. $250,000, according to people familiar with the matter.

No mention of NY regulators closing Signature Bank in that state today for similar reasons as SVB. As of Dec. 31 Signature had $110.4 billion in total assets and $88.6 billion in total deposits, according to a securities filing.
Possible SHTF scenario if they don't have a plan in place before 0900 tomorrow morning.

FDIC insures to 250K. Above and beyond that, is now up to hard working taxpayers to fit the bill. Saying it out loud for those that think there is government funding.
