Dear President Trump,

I understand your frustration with Congress right now, but I urge you to reconsider encouraging the Senate to do away with the filibuster. You are doing a pretty bang up job even with the filibuster in your way.

Also, you won't be President forever. The future is a mighty long time, and there may be a day when we Deplorables are the minority in the Senate and need a way to make our voices heard.

I think your approach of shaming the Democrats into reasonablness will produce better long term results.

I read the President's tweet as an appeal to remove the filibuster option for debate on legislation. So far the "nuclear option" has only been used to stop filibusters during judicial nominee approvals.

At any rate, I don't the the filibuster is a silly rule. It give the minority some voice.
