Well frens, this anon finally scored a win in a 20 year battle with the wifely unit!

For 20 years I've been trying to get her to give up cable TV. Years ago I told her that if I ever had to contact them again it would simply be to return their equipment and never deal with them again.

Monday I asked the wife to call them and request a discount since they just jacked our bill $26 bucks.

She negotiates a slightly better deal with them but gets suckered into a 12 month contract. She calls back today to use the legal and mandatory 3-day contract cancellation and go back to the old deal. So they cancelled the new contract as they legally have to then tell her her bill is now going up another $18 because the old deal we had was no longer available.

This pissed her off so she gathered up their equipment, drove it to their store, turned it all in requesting a receipt which they made her wait an hour for, then she told them to fuck off.

A win is a win. Now we have another $200/month for Au and Ag. Best part is no more mind control programming.

Yeah well, I can't bitch too much I guess. She is 100% on-board with buying metals and being prepped for most eventualities. She even agreed to give up fast phood, junk phood, vacations and a bunch of other useless shit so that we could get out of debt, which we did about ten years ago. Cable was her line in the sand so I relented for a bit but kept the pressure up. I knew that making her deal with them would piss her off enough to break her habit. It worked! She has been a fantastic wife for 35 years and counting so that in and of itself is a win!
