Here’s the problem with backing paper dollars with precious metals:
A $1 Silver Eagle costs around $35 fiat dollars.
That is how far fiat and sovereign money have floated apart.
Our ancestors used real money- constitutional silver and gold coins, paper dollars were also equal to silver dollars.
A silver dime is worth $2.00 as of this week.
When we make paper dollars backed by PM, what do you call a dollar? A $35 bill? Most people cannot afford real dollars, just slave debt notes.

Now, a $5 gold eagle is around $250 fiat and a silver eagle is $35 (melt value of $23.)
