Cure? What exactly would that look like to you? A pill? A shot? A surgery? DNA therapy? Cloning organs? Cloning new healthy bodies? What cure are you waiting for?
That is more accurately called treatment research…trying to find compounds that lessen the severity of disease, but how do you make a pill that fixes kidneys or hearts or the pancreas permanently? Maybe AI can figure it out, but it sounds like your expecting a tricorder and a magic bed like they have on Star Trek. We are so very far away from that, we'll never make it before we have to start all over from scratch.
