Body language expert should do review of this. He looks angry or he’s thinking he’s powerful subjugating his granddaughter to whatever humiliations he put her through. She looks humiliated or intentionally giving him deference as a worthless concubine. My take is she hates him with every cell of her body. They both look soulless

US Air Force reveals status of downed drone

Spokesman admits that American forces haven't yet found the debris

The US MQ-9 Reaper drone, downed in the Black Sea near Russia’s Crimea on Tuesday, hasn’t been recovered yet, but doing so remains top of the agenda for the military, the US Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) has said.

“We take the protection and recovery of this aircraft very seriously, but the aircraft has not been recovered at this time,” USAFE spokesperson said in a statement on Thursday to The Hill outlet.

The spokesperson declined to reveal specific details of the search operation, but said locating what’s left of the$32-million UAVremained a “priority” for Washington.

Asked on Thursday if Russia itself would attempt to recover the American drone, Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that if the Russian military “decides that it’s necessary for our interests and the security… then they’re going to do it.”

Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolay Patrushev had earlier said Moscow would “surely try” to lift the UAV from the bottom of the Black Sea. Patrushev acknowledged that it’ll be a rather difficult thing to pull off, but added that he still hoped for a successful outcome.

The Hill noted that Russia would have an“easier time” searching for the MQ-9 Reaper than the US as it hadfallen near Crimea, while also warning that “the recovery of the drone by Moscow could pose serious intelligence concerns for Washington.”

US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley said during a briefing on Wednesday that the American military had taken unspecified “mitigating measures” to minimize Russia’s ability to collect intelligence from the drone. “We are quite confident that whatever was of value is no longer of value,”he said. (Self destruct mechanism? Could be BS knowing Milley)

Milley also suggested that the UAV sank in an area of the sea with a depth of around 5,000 feet (some 1.5km) and “probably broke up,”meaning there’s not much data to be recovered from it anyway.

The Pentagon claims that its MQ-9 Reaper crashed into the Black Sea as a result of an unsafe intercept by Russian Su-27 fighter jets. The planes flew close to the UAV several times and dumped fuel on it, with one of the Su-27s eventually hitting and damaging the drone’s tail propeller, it said.

The Russian Defense Ministry denied that there had been a collision, saying its pilots had acted professionally and that the US drone stalled after executing a dangerous maneuver. The incident only happened because the UAV made an incursion into a zone that was declared off-limits due to the ongoing Russian military operation in Ukraine, Moscow said.

The drone would have a transponder on it, so it would be relatively easy to find, so it must have has a mechanism it could be destroyed from afar. Why is this diplomatic tit for tat is happening? They are both guilty!

US blackmailing ‘neutral’ European state – Moscow

Washington is attempting to make Switzerland drop its arms re-export ban, foreign ministry has warned

US blackmailing ‘neutral’ European state – Moscow

The US ambassador to Switzerland appeared to blackmail the Swiss government when he asserted in a recent interview that Bern is in no position to maintain neutrality over the conflict in Ukraine, a senior Russian diplomat has insisted.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova was commenting on recent remarks made by US envoy Scott Miller, and connecting them with this week’s fall in the share price of Credit Suisse, a leading Swiss financial institution.

Considering that the second-largest Swiss bank plunged right after three American banks went bust, such a statement looks like direct blackmail,” Zakharova said Thursday on social media.

The essence of Miller's message, she added, looked like “drop neutrality and start sending weapons to the Kiev regime, and you’ll keep living full-bellied and lavishly; refuse – and bad days are in order.”

In his interview with newspaper Neue Zurcher Zeitung on Thursday, Miller stated that Switzerland was “in the worst crisis since the Second World War” and was being “confronted with what neutrality means.” While Washington respects Bern’s policy not to sell arms to war zones, he added, it “cannot claim to be neutral and allow one or both sides to use its laws for their own benefit.”

The country's stance, which President Alain Berset reaffirmed earlier this month, prevents Swiss-made weapons from being sent to Ukraine, including by other nations. Miller also declared, referring to Russia, that “the aggressor, who violates all principles of international law, benefits from the re-export ban.”

Credit Suisse announced on Thursday that it will borrow over $53 billion from the Swiss central bank to stay afloat. The Zurich-based financial giant shed some 25% of its value in two days of trading, as its stock dove to all-time lows.

The US financial sector went into major turmoil after the Silicon Valley Bank imploded last Friday. Days earlier, Silvergate Capital Corporation announced liquidation of its crypto-friendly bank of the same name. On Monday, trouble befell Signature Bank and it became the third-largest US bank to go bankrupt after Washington Mutual in 2008 and Silicon Valley last week.

Russia projects a decline in its oil and gas output this year compared to 2022, Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov said on Wednesday.

In February, Russia announced it would respond to Western sanctions by halting sales to countries imposing the so-called price cap, and voluntarily reduced oil production by 500,000 barrels per day. Moscow said the move was designed to restore market relations shattered by the scheme, which it branded “illegal.”

Addressing the Russian Parliament, Shulginov said that for 2023 he expected “oil production levels to be slightly lower, because of the voluntary reduction in output.” The minister added that “gas production volumes will continue to decline, both due to the abandonment of the European market and the timing of the rerouting of energy flows to the East.”

Russia’s decision to reduce its oil production this month will help balance the global oil market, which is in a surplus now, Alexander Dyukov, the chief executive of Russian oil company Gazprom Neft, a subsidiary of Gazprom, said last month.

Oil production in Russia rose to 535.1 million tons last year from 524.5 million tons in 2021. Gas production dropped to 674 billion cubic meters (bcm) in 2022 compared to 763 bcm in the previous year.

In January Russia’s oil exports surged to an all-time high previously reached in February 2020 despite the Western embargo on Moscow’s seaborne crude as customers were rushing to boost their stocks of the commodity, a report by the International Energy Agency showed.

Meanwhile, other major oil producers like Saudi Arabia and Algeria have warned that Western sanctions such as the price cap on Russian oil will spark uncertainty and disrupt global trade flows.

Eu leaders discuss the price caps right after they place the 10th sanction package of Russia, which had no effect on Russia.

Ursula, “Lets put a price cap on their gas and oil so we can afford it since all EU country economies are sinking!”

Minister says, “I’m pretty sure thats not a good idea, Russia said they wouldn’t sell to us if we do it. And we really need their gas and oil.“

Ursula says, “nonsense, they are on their knees to us or will be soon, lets cap the amount we pay”.

Minister, “how are they on their knees, their economy is doing 4x better than us and they are getting major contracts with Asia and India?”

Ursula “Trust me I know how to deal with Putin!”

Minister, “This is stupid!”

The very next day the minister runs into Ursula’s office, “did you hear what happened?”

She says, “what?”

Minister, “Russia blew up any of their last remaining pipelines to EU so they can never be threatened again”
