So human sperm sheds itself and becomes immortal as a sperm? No, it doesn't. It's part of what creates human life, well chance is very low of that even happening. It ceases to exist when it did its job. New different sperm may be created years later by another human, sometimes not, sometimes that other human is never part of creating new life, but may create tons of sperm that simply cease to exist, sometimes not even that.

Snake and sperm are different words and have different meanings. At least that author would know that.
And a single sperm also doesn't create humans. It's only part of that process, which means calling it immortal just because it's part of that process is simply ridiculous.
You could call humans immortal that way as well. A (specific) sperm is as immortal as a (specific) human is.
