People used to have stills in order to make alcohol for sale. Perhaps people need to make their own hooch again so they don't need to go to the liquor store and use a government "ID" to obtain booze. Perfectly legal (Idk about having a still, but other things are pretty easy to do.)
Not a fan of getting addicted to anything, but one reason anon doesn't buy alcohol is it is disgusting to ask adults to "get permission" and display an ID for a purchase.
