SVB Financial Group Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

Silicon Valley Bank’s former parent company SVB Financial Group filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Friday.

Last Friday Silicon Valley Bank went into FDIC receivership after it was unable to produce cash for its depositors.

The Biden Regime bailed out SVC depositors over the $250,000 FDIC insured threshold.

The Treasury and FDIC announced that all depositors of Silicon Valley Bank will have access to their money.

The chapter 11 bankruptcy will allow SVB Financial Group to sell assets.

According to reports, SVB Financial Group has $2.2 billion of liquidity and other assets.

The parent of Silicon Valley Bank filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy a week after the tech-focused bank failed and was seized by the U.S. government.

The filing from SVB Financial Group on Friday is not a surprise, with much of the company now under the control of U.S. banking regulators. During the 2008 financial crisis, the parent companies of failed banks Washington Mutual and IndyMac — filed for bankruptcy protection in the days after their banking operations failed.

Also, Silicon Valley Bank along with its CEO and its chief financial officer were targeted this week in a class action lawsuit that claims the company didn’t disclose the risks that future interest rate increases would have on its business.

SVB Financial Group is no longer affiliated with Silicon Valley Bank after its seizure by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The bank’s successor, Silicon Valley Bridge Bank, is being run under the jurisdiction of the FDIC and is not included in the Chapter 11 filing.

Silicon Valley Bank was hit with its first securities lawsuit on Monday.

Shareholders filed a class action lawsuit against SVB on Monday arguing they were never warned about the risks to its business model, Bloomberg reported.

Hunter Biden Sues Computer Repairman John Paul Mac Isaac – Risks Putting All His Sexcapades and Corrupt Foreign Business Deals in the Spotlight Again

Hunter Biden is suing computer repairman John Paul Mac Isaac, the man who unfortunately was there when Hunter needed help.

John Paul Mac Isaac’s life changed in April 2019 when Hunter Biden stopped by Mac Isaac’s shop with three MacBook Pro laptops with water damage. One was destroyed beyond repair and he gave that back to Hunter. The other required a keyboard that he loaned to Hunter. He never got that keyboard back. The third laptop Hunter left with Mac Isaac to fix.

Hunter left the laptop with Mac Isaac to copy its contents and create a backup. Mac Isaac eventually was able to copy the contents but only by copying small amounts of data because the laptop was so water damaged it kept shutting off.

This was the task that Mac Isaac was asked to complete. Hunter Biden provided Mac Isaac his laptop to perform this task. If this isn’t providing consent what is?

When Hunter left his laptop with Mac Isaac to perform the task of copying the data from the laptop to the hard drive provided by Hunter, he signed a contract.

This was a standard contract that Mac Isaac and any functioning store owner would ask his customers to sign before performing work.

I started doing the paper work before he left the shop, before I triaged the three machines. So the paperwork said recover data from three laptops. It also said after 90 days those laptops become my property.

The fact is Hunter Biden signed a contract that said that if he didn’t come back and obtain his laptop or the recovered data after a certain period of time, Hunter would forfeit the laptop and its contents.

Despite numerous calls to Hunter to get him to come to pick up the laptop and the flash drive with the contents, Hunter never responded and never picked up these items.

Thankfully for America, John Paul Mac Isaac was the computer repairman who Hunter chose to repair Hunter’s laptops.

Kremlin dismisses ‘absurd and outrageous’ ICC claims

The Hague-based court has no authority in Russia, President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman has said

Moscow is under no obligation to acknowledge the “arrest warrant” for President Vladimir Putin announced by the International Criminal Court on Friday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

“We consider the very premise outrageous and unacceptable,” Peskov told reporters when asked about the warrant for purported war crimes. “Russia, like many other states, does not recognize the jurisdiction of this court. Accordingly, the Russian Federation considers any of its pronouncements null and void from the legal standpoint.”

The ICC on Friday issued warrants for the arrest of Putin and Russia’s Children’s Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova, accusing them of “unlawful transfer” of children from Ukraine to Russia. They claim Putin and Lvova-Belova bear both individual and command responsibility for the alleged war crime.

The Russian authorities have evacuated thousands of residents from Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson – four regions that overwhelmingly voted to join Russia last September – to the interior, due the deliberate shelling of civilians by Ukrainian forces, often using NATO-supplied weapons.

Neither Russia nor Ukraine have ratified the Rome Statute that established the ICC. The US, which underwrote the tribunals for Yugoslavia and Rwanda on which the ICC was based, adopted a law authorizing a military invasion of the Netherlands if any American is ever detained by the court.
