The Manhattan District Attorney’s office has offered Donald Trump the opportunity to surrender as part of a pre-negotiated bail package ahead of his likely indictment — but the former President has yet to agree in a move that has set up a legal showdown, Knewz.com has learned.
It is widely expected Trump will be charged for his role in the payment of hush money to adult star Stormy Daniels, who claimed she had an affair with Trump in 2006.
The criminal charges could happen as soon as next week, multiple sources said. (Trump has denied he had a relationship with Daniels and vowed he “did absolutely nothing wrong” in a recent post on Truth Social.)
