BV deleted abusive poster's posts from thread but it was at the same time board went wonky, something else may have happened.
By policy, we don't take out stuff beyond the thread. But if system hiccoughed, may have done.

Yes, that would be possible if the deletion were done across the board instead of across the thread. Why we don't use that function.
There is currently no corrupt BV. System was wonky, BV is pretty sure he hit the right delete function but they are tiny and close together on one line. We do zillions of these, would be easy to miss. Or system could have done it because it was malfunctioning in other ways.
Have asked that this function be removed from the menu, as we never use it and it's a pain in the ass.
