Any anons with faraday cage/bags advice/recommendations?

If so, how well did it protect you during the last civilization-ending blast?

I keep 2 back-up drives wrapped in about 6 layers of tinfoil in basement freezer, same with a couple old laptops. More concerned with backup generator at the moment. Kinda pointless if it would be fried by the very event necessitating its use. Would most vehicles be fried in such a case? Only post-old-school vehicles? Anything with electrical components/fuses?
