The Secret Service is expected to suggest a virtual arraignment, which would eliminate the need to physically apprehend Trump.

The authorities in New York City currently have no timetable for a possible indictment and arraignment of former President Donald Tump, according to Fox News.

There are reports that an attempt to apprehend Trump may be dangerous, according to the report.

A number of law enforcement groups were apparently scheduled to meet on Monday at NYPD headquarters in Manhattan in hopes of coming up with a plan for a potential indictment on the former president.

If an arrest does take place, it would be the responsibility of the Secret Service to carry it out. Consequently, the Secret Service is expected to suggest a virtual arraignment, which would eliminate the need to physically apprehend Trump.

The fear of danger and potential violence following Trump’s arrest is not without merit, as the former president has called for his supporters to “take our country back” in the event that he is arrested.

Fox News reported that a source familiar with the situation has placed blame on the Manhattan DA’s office for releasing the news of Trump’s possible indictment.

"That created a lot of security issues. The chance of anyone getting hurt has dramatically increased,” according to the source.

House GOP Leaders Send Scathing Letter to Manhattan DA - They Want Him in Front of Congress

The Republican chairmen of three U.S. House committees sent Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg a letter on Monday demanding he testify about his reported plans to prosecute former President Donald Trump.

Bragg’s office in New York is planning to indict and arrest Trump this week, the former president said Saturday on social media.

Federal prosecutors declined to pursue a case against Trump years ago in relation to alleged “hush money” payments he made to former adult film star Stormy Daniels. Still, Bragg’s office wants to criminally charge Trump, the former president claimed on Truth Social.

According to Trump, Bragg, a George Soros-funded prosecutor, intends to go after him on alleged campaign finance law violations that Trump has denied ever occurred.

He also has denied having an affair with Daniels.

Given the investigations into Trump dating back to 2017, his first year in office, this case reeks of corruption.

It also smells of interference in a presidential election, as the former president said Sunday night on Truth Social.

Three leading GOP congressmen echoed that view in their letter to Bragg.

The letter signed by Republican Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio, James Comer of Kentucky and Bryan Steil of Wisconsin demanded answers from the Manhattan district attorney.

Jordan, Comer, and Steil are chairmen of Judiciary, Oversight and Administration, committees, respectively.

“You are reportedly about to engage in an unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial authority: the indictment of a former President of the United States and currently declared candidate for that office,” the letter said.

It continued, “This indictment comes after years of your office searching for a basis – any basis – on which to bring charges, ultimately settling on a novel legal theory untested anywhere in the country and one that federal authorities declined to pursue.”

“If these reports are accurate, your actions will erode confidence in the evenhanded application of justice and unalterably interfere in the course of the 2024 presidential election.”

The trio informed Bragg they expect to hear from him face to face.

“In light of the serious consequences of your actions, we expect that you will testify about what plainly appears to be a politically motivated prosecutorial decision,” the letter said.

The letter also reminded Bragg about reports he expressed doubts about a criminal case against Trump as recently as 14 months ago.

“In January 2022, soon after you took office, you expressed doubts about President Trump’s case and suspended the investigation,” the lawmakers wrote.

Bragg was lit up by the leftist establishment media after it was disclosed he had doubts about the prospect of putting Trump on trial.

Curiously, word that the Manhattan DA might go after Trump comes after an election interference case against the former president in Georgia arguably disintegrated last month.

Emily Kohrs, the grand jury forewoman in that case, went on a media tour and appeared giddy about helping left-wing Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s anti-Trump efforts in February.

While it is speculation, it appears as though criminal investigations into Trump might be connected. Perhaps each was intended as a failsafe for the other in the event one failed.

With the case in Georgia seemingly on the ropes, Bragg suddenly re-emerged with possible plans to indict the former president.

The Relentless Prosecutorial Persecution of Donald Trump

What is up with Trump’s claim he is about to be arrested by Manhattan’s corrupt DA?

Claiming that he is going to be arrested this week, Donald Trump implored his 500,000 active users on his social media platform, Truth Social, to “PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!” He then triple-downed his plea: “WE JUST CAN’T ALLOW THIS ANYMORE. THEY’RE KILLING OUR NATION AS WE SIT BACK & WATCH. WE MUST SAVE AMERICA! PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST!!!”

More on that in a minute.

Donald Trump is the most persecuted president in American history.

Trump was subjected to a malignant collusion between deep state actors in the FBI and CIA, who used their Leftmedia publicists to promote an insidious effort to undermine his presidency. That collusion, which was originally funded by Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2016, amounted to a far more dangerous threat to American Liberty than the now-ubiquitously referenced Watergate break-in and conspiracy.

I have no confidence that anyone at the FBI or CIA will be held accountable for that corruption, despite the fact that the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government is taking aim at the politicization of the Department of Justice.

Those relentless attacks on Trump notwithstanding, he accomplished a long list of achievements to make America great again — most of which were undermined after he allowed Anthony Fauci to become the de facto COVID pandemic dictator in control of the U.S. economy and society. Trump’s arrogant, brazen, and brash “New Yorker” attributes, which helped advance his MAGA agenda well in the first three years of his presidency, were undermined by Fauci in 2020 — and it was Fauci who enabled the Demos’ 2020 election bulk-mail ballot fraud to defeat Trump.

As a result, diverting attention to what he claimed were rigged ballot machines and other distractions, on January 6, 2021, Trump invited protests in DC, and after his rally a group of agitators rioted outside the Capitol building while more docile protesters entered the building in order to disrupt proceedings to affirm Joe Biden as the next president.

Of course, Trump denying election results got its start in 2016, when Democrat Party protagonists became “election deniers.” The short list:

“I absolutely” agree that Trump is an “illegitimate president.” (Joe Biden)

The election was “stolen.” (Hillary Clinton)

“Absolutely right” that Trump “didn’t really win.” (Kamala Harris)

“Welcome to the world of #unpresidented Trump.” (Karine Jean-Pierre)

But Demos get a pass on election denials.

So, what is up with Trump’s claim he is about to be arrested?

Having announced his 2024 candidacy, Demos believe if they can keep his supporters angry, and thus fracture the 2024 Republican primary, even Biden could defeat him.

First it was the high-profile raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence last August, endeavoring to indict Trump for what Hillary Clinton actually did, after failing to convict him as president for doing what Joe Biden actually did.

You know, the Mar-a-Lago raid was just like those high-profile FBI raids on Biden’s offices and residences to seize classified documents — oh, wait, there were no raids to retrieve classified documents illegally in Biden’s possession.

Now, Trump says Manhattan’s corrupt George Soros-backed DA, Alvin Bragg, plans to arrest him this week for allegedly paying “hush money” to “porn star” Stormy Daniels.

Bragg’s case against Trump, which federal prosecutors previously declined to take, involves allegations of “falsifying business records in the first degree” after former attorney Michael Cohen made payments to Daniels to keep her quiet about an alleged 2006 “relationship” with Trump. Cohen admitted he did that, pleaded guilty, and did prison time. Bragg is insisting that Trump concealed the fact that his company reimbursed Cohen for the payments without correctly disclosing the payments were to silence Daniels, a misdemeanor charge for falsifying business records. That could become a felony if prosecutors can prove Trump’s “‘intent to defraud’ included an intent to commit or conceal a second crime,” the second crime being that the alleged $130,000 payment to Daniels should have been listed as a donation to the Trump campaign.

Got that? And recall that previously, Bragg himself resisted going after Trump, prompting resignations of his two lead prosecutors, Carey Dunne and Mark Pomerantz, the latter even writing a book arguing for Trump’s prosecution.

Previously, this kind of sleaze was reserved for Bill Clinton, who paid hush money to some of the women he assaulted to keep them quiet.

Trump’s assertion about his arrest was prompted by a report that law enforcement agencies are on heightened alert for violence ahead of a possible Trump indictment this week.

After Trump’s call to “PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST!!!” DA Bragg emailed his staff telling them they should brace for violence ahead of an indictment, though he assured them, “Our law enforcement partners will ensure that any specific or credible threats against the office will be fully investigated and that the proper safeguards are in place, so all 1,600 of us have a secure work environment.”

Laughably, this corrupt Demo hack added, “As with all of our investigations, we will continue to apply the law evenly and fairly, and speak publicly only when appropriate.” Except he has no intention of “applying the law evenly and fairly,” and his investigation leak ensured he had no intention of “speaking publicly only when appropriate.”

Georgetown Law professor Jonathan Turley derided Bragg’s charade as the “Manhattan DA’s made-for-TV Trump prosecution, though he notes, "Trump faces serious legal threats in the ongoing Mar-a-Lago investigation.”

Trump’s claims about his imminent arrest resulted in swift condemnation of Bragg by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who correctly declared: “Here we go again — an outrageous abuse of power by a radical DA who lets violent criminals walk as he pursues political vengeance against President Trump. I’m directing relevant committees to immediately investigate if federal funds are being used to subvert our democracy by interfering in elections with politically motivated prosecutions.” House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik from New York added, “This is un-American and the radical Left has reached a dangerous new low of Third World countries [with] these corrupt Leftist prosecutors like Alvin Bragg and their Socialist allies.”

Even Mike Pence stepped up: “The fact that the Manhattan DA thinks that indicting President Trump is his top priority, I think … just tells you everything you need to know about the radical left in this country. … It just feels like a politically charged prosecution here.”

Because it IS a “politically charged prosecution.”

Unfortunately, though it is not known if an indictment is imminent, Bragg succeeded in baiting Trump into risking the incitement of some of his followers to violence by issuing his “PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST!!!” demand.

Clearly, 99.999% of Trump supporters, past and present, are law-abiding American Patriots, but as was grossly demonstrated by the J6 riot, some of his followers can become unhinged and violent. Repeatedly calling for protests on Truth Social, where the most vociferous residual of Trump’s supporters hang out, was at best careless.

That criticism of Trump leads me to ask this: How do you know if a friend has fallen into a personality cult trap? First and foremost, they can’t tolerate even the most reasonable criticism or dissenting views regarding the personality who has entrapped them. On those occasions when we criticize Trump, predictably there is some hate mail from those who have fallen into that trap, those whose pursuit of American Liberty has been subjugated to their allegiance to Trump. Notably, such complaints never include any modicum of a reasoned rebuttal.
