And they project that onto DeSantis. They saw how DeSantis used no nonsense legislation in Florida to prevent election fraud. They saw how he was one of if not the first governor to lift COVID restrictions and how popular that was in his state. They saw how he took Disney to task and put the brakes on the CRT nonsense as well as the drag shows for children nonsense. While Trump was bellyaching and bragging about muh Warp Speed, DeSantis was getting the work done that Trump claimed to want to do but never actually did.

Did he drain the swamp? No, he nominated them to powerful cabinet positions.

Did he do anything for education? No, Betsy Davos pfft.

Did he fix the elections? No, he warned they would be rigged, then let them be rigged, then walked away after encouraging his base to protest and subsequently leaving them high and dry, rotting away in prison cells without due process. He could have pardoned them, but he ignored them instead.

Did he lock her up? No, she's his friend actually. He not only donated vast amounts of $ to the Clintons, but they were also honored guests at his wedding.

Was it all bad with Trump? No, but it could have beeen a lot better had he just done what he claimed he would do when he had the bully pulpit.

We need a proven leader now. DeSantis should get a chance to show what he can do as leader of the nation now that he's shown proven himself as the leader of Florida.

A convenient memory is a common symptom associated with sycophants. They conveniently forget and/or ignore theFACTthat Trump is the self-proclaimed "father of the vaccine" and thatTRUMPallowed Fauci to take the reigns of national COVID policy making, which led to lockdowns, mask mandates, vaccine mandates, and untold misery. It's all on TRUMP.

>Barr was right when he said Trump has a knack for making enemies.

Limbaugh was right when he said (paraphrasing) that the only person who could separate Trump from his base is Trump himself. He's doing a damn fine job of that right now with the all caps rants against DeSantis and trying to provoke his base to protest for a mess he made himself, without concern for what happens to anyone who does protest on his behalf. He also knows damn good and well he's not going to serve a single day in jail or prison. Still, he wants to gin up a reaction for this "injustice", which I don't disagree that the Manhattan DA is reaching here, but it's only a minor deal and it's a direct result of his own actions years ago. It's nothing, but he doesn't want his followers to know that.

DeSantis understands that the Soros DA's are out of control and working outside the law to prosecute (persecute) their political enemies. Fortunately for DJT, it won't matter. He's got the privilege of being an ex-POTUS and he won't do any time, ever. Unfortunately for his most loyal supporters, they will be at the mercy of the injustice system and, unless they luck up and get spectacular representation and/or media sympathy, they will be screwed if they protest, even if it's 100% peaceful. Think Trump cares?

Anyone who's honest with themselves knows he slept with her. Well, maybe not a lot of sleeping occurred.

Timing is key, right? Well, if/when DeSantis decides to formally announce he's running for the nomination in 2024, Trump will go into full meltdown mode and will self-destruct. Just watch.

Remember Madison Cawthorne, the disabled vet who became the youngest person in history to get elected to Congress (N.C.)? Well, before he was elected, I guess he wasn't vocal enough about his loyalty to Trump, so some of Trump's goons put the squeeze on him. He caved and came out all "Ra-Ra MAGA". Well, he served his N.C. district pretty well in representing MAGA values. Then, when it was close to time for re-election, he dared to go on a TV interview and out corrupt politicians who, when he first got in office, offered him cocaine and hookers (to be able to blackmail him later on). You would think "Now that's some MAGA shit right there. Sticking it to the Deep State without any fear". Well, as such, you would also probably think that DJT would at least come in and offer some vocal support. After all, he was holding true to the MAGA way by outing these crooked pols and their tactics. But that's not what happened. No, just like the 1/6 prisoners, Cawthorne was ignored by DJT. He was repaid for his loyalty to Trump with a loss in his re-election campaign, despite the fact that Trump and the RINO Senators in NC, as well as most incumbent Republican reps in NC were re-elected. That's what Trump loyalty gets you: stabbed right in the back.

Everyone likes to talk about muh psyops. Well, Trump is using them on his own base, and it's not the first time he's done that. Going on psychotic rants about a rising star in the R party is dividing much of his base. The vaccine promotions at rally after rally after rally did the same thing. He somewhat recovered from the vaccine shilling with some of the base, but the unprovoked and unwarranted attacks against DeSantis, who might I remind you hasn't even announced that he's running yet, is even more problematic and he's going to find that out the hard way I'm afraid.

The trans bathroom issue was ginned up in Charlotte, NC in 2015, as a measure to get then N.C. Governor Pat McCrory out of office. I remember it well. I also remember DJT being on the trans side of the issue.

Trump: Transgender people can use whatever bathroom they want

By NICK GASS 04/21/2016 08:49 AM EDT

Transgender people should be able to use whatever bathroom they want, Donald Trump said Thursday.

"Oh, I had a feeling that question was going to come up, I will tell you. North Carolina did something that was very strong. And they're paying a big price. There's a lot of problems," the Republican presidential candidate said during a town hall event on NBC's "Today."

Referring to comments from an unnamed commentator who on Wednesday said North Carolina should "leave it the way it is right now," Trump saidhe agreed.

"Leave it the way it is. North Carolina, what they're going through with all the business that's leaving, all of the strife โ€“ and this is on both sides. Leave it the way it is," he said, referring to companies that have canceled plans to move or expand businesses in the state as a result of the law, which bans transgender individuals from using a bathroom that does not match their gender at birth.

"There have been very few complaints the way it is. People go. They use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate," Trump said. "There has been so little trouble. And the problem with what happened in North Carolina is the strife and the economic โ€“ I mean, the economic punishment that they're taking."

Matt Lauer then asked whether Trump has any transgender people working for his company.

"I really don't know. I probably do. I really don't know," Trump said, answering that he would allow, say, transgender celebrity Caitlyn Jenner to use whatever bathroom she wanted at Trump Tower.

He added, "You know, there's a big move to create new bathrooms. Problem with that is for transgender, that would beโ€”first of all, I think that would be discriminatory in a certain way. That would be unbelievably expensive for businesses in the country. Leave it the way it is."

Ted Cruzaddressed the issue in a tweet after Trump's appearance, writing, "We shouldn't be facilitating putting little girls alone in a bathroom w/ grown men. That's just a bad, bad, bad idea[.]"

The reelection campaign of North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory fired back at Trump after his remarks on what a spokesman called the state's "common sense bathroom privacy law."

"Governor McCrory has always said that North Carolina was getting along fine before the Charlotte city council passed its unneeded and overreaching ordinance. Now that it has been overturned, businesses can adopt their own policies - like Target has - instead of being mandated to allow men into women's restrooms by government," campaign spokesman Ricky Diaz said in a statement. "Where the governor disagrees with Mr. Trump is that bathroom and shower facilities in our schools should be kept separate and special accommodations made when needed. It's just common sense."
