Being a cabbie is a reliable job, particularly in NYC, Manhattan, etc.The drivers eat, the cab drivers' union stay fat, and tourists get fleeced. Getting a medallion, which is necessary to drive an official and approved taxi, is remarkably expensive. Possibly bc of guys like Cohen.
*Uber and Lyft took some of that business, of course.
