>classical music is not boring
meh….
virtually all Joseph Haydn TEDIOUS AND BORING
more than half of Mozart BORING
most opera TEDIOUS AND BORING
lesser known composers like Schubert BORING
unimaginative "virtuosi" like Liszt, Paganini, etc TEDIOUS AND BORING
virtually all "atonal" and "12-tone" composers like schoenberg, webern, scriabin, etc BORING AND IRRITATING
a lot of 20th century "classical" composers like the WORST ever, Philip Glass and those that followed him BORING AND EVIL
>THE CURE FOR CANCER HAS ALREADY BEEN FOUND
piddletwaddle
if you have pneumonia, it means you are infected with pneumococcus bacillus. if you have tuberculosis, it means you are infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. if you have strep throat, it means you've got a streptococcus infection. for each person with those diseases, the cause is the same. and the cure is the same for everyone.
but telling someone they have a cancer is like telling them their car went off the road. 1001 different things could have caused the car to go off the road. and there are a 1001 different triggers that can lead to cancer, but it's NOT accurate to say such-and-such CAUSES cancer, in the way we say helicobacter pylori causes ulcers.
most people accept that cigarettes can lead to cancer, but not everyone who smokes gets cancer. and there are plenty of other triggers that no one can avoid. carcinogens in the environment, radiation from xrays, airplane trips, outer space, cellphones, 1001 different viruses…. these are ALL triggers. yet most people do not get a cancer from them. how does that happen?
well, a trigger leads to a cancer by first causing a mutation in the DNA of one single cell. if nothing stops it, that cell will divide and make 2 mutated cells, and so on, until it becomes a macroscopic size tumor, and voila, a cancer. but a healthy body and immune system have 1001 mechanisms for detecting and destroying that one mutated cell BEFORE it can produce more mutated cells and grow into a tumor.
and that is why every case of cancer is unique. somewhere along the line, one step in the unimaginably complex mechanism of the body ridding itself of that one mutated cell has broken down. and like the car that went off the road, for each person, for each cancer, the specific trigger and the specific malfunction are unique. so CURING the cancer requires knowing exactly what part of the natural cancer defense mechanism isn't working the way it should, and then finding a way to jump start that. it may be that it was a temporary breakdown in the system that allowed a tumor to begin to grow, and once the system is back to working normally, it gradually and slowly may destroy the tumor. that's one way spontaneous remissions occur, and they're more common than oncologists will admit, or even know.
the "accepted" method of treating every cancer patient the same and giving everyone chemo and radiation is just plain retarded. but it's good business. never forget that's what drs and hospitals practice…. BUSINESS. they make obscene profits by minimally prolonging the misery of cancer patients. why would they be interested in a CURE? a VP of SmithKlineGlaxo was on a business program on MSNBC discussing their stock prospectus, and had the 'nads to outright say, "our goal is to make cancer a MANAGEABLE CONDITION." well FUCK their manageable condition. that's a polite way of saying we have ZERO interest in CURING you… there's no money in that. so i have zero interest in their "treatments." and so should you. the chemo drug itself is carcinogenic. likewise, radiation is carcinogenic. the only safe dose of radiation is zero. not to bum you out, but if you had regular mammograms, there's a significant possibility those were the trigger for your cancer.
fine. yer actually correct. a million thanks to analfag for distracting from the POINT.
ACKSHULLY…. Gulf Oil developed the tech way back in the 70s to turn cellulose in municipal trash into fuel grade ethanol.
instead of burying it, we could turn household garbage into 60 BILLION gallons of fuel grade ethanol per yr
and by building THOUSANDS of small plants all across the nation, the trash would be processed where it's generated
and the quantity of fuel produced would proportional to the demand for fuel in the area served by the plant
thus eliminating the idiotic practice of burning fuel to haul fuel, and at the same time,
the distributed production renders the energy supply immune to disruption by terrorist attack (foreign or domestic).
and water in the fuel INCREASES the efficiency of an ICE by converting waste heat that would otherwise go out the tailpipe
into work, bcs 1cc of water makes 1660cc of steam, which is more push on the piston.
still hate ethanol?
>>18574972 (me)
Gulf Oil invested in the R&D on this idea, and actually built a pilot plant in kansas (where the projections come from) all so that they could patent the idea and the tech, then SIT ON IT, thereby preventing anyone else from trying to develop it.
>you have about 8 times more of a chance that someone will read
87.9% of statistics are made up out of thin air
>a deputy shot and killed a man suspected of carrying a grenade
too bad the "suspect" hadn't already pulled the pin.
stupid fucking evil pigs.
>force-fed to engines not made for it.
totally agree. but the fact remains, we could supply more than half of our ICE fuel needs from municipal trash instead of burying it.
how is that not a win-win?
ought to be motivation enough to make all engines ethanol friendly.
>absorbsed moisture doesn't produce any useful power as you are attempting to imply, it just puts the fire out and reduces power.
WRONGO, keebler… in WWII, bomber pilots could throw a switch to turn on water injection, because the tremendous boost in HP could get them outta dodge lickety-split. they could not leave it on all the time, tho, because the longer it was on, the greater the chance of blowing cylinder heads off.
i don't disagree. we can both be right.
watch the TV program "Mayday" some time. all episodes are available on YT.
the number of crashes that occured because the autopilot malfunctioned and the
PILOTS DID NOT KNOW HOW TO MANUALLY FLY THE PLANE is mind boggling.
and the quantity of water that ethanol absorbs from the air is insignificant compared to the amount used in engines designed for water injection.
in any case, it does not decrease power. what you're observing is that ethanol has a lot less kcal/pound that hydrocarbons. that much IS true,
and the more ethanol that is added, the lower the HP and mileage. nothing to do with traces of water.
>the international Earth Hour environmental movement on March 25, when major facilities traditionally turn off their exterior lights
yippee! we gonna save the planet by turning useless wasteful outdoor lighting off ONE DAY PER YEAR, but it's ok to leave it on the other 364 days. no problemo.
let's turn it ALL off, EVERY day.
you think outdoor lighting deters crime?
who sold you that idiotic line of bullshit?
the electricity salesman?
or the lightbulb salesman?
ASK A FUCKING BURGLAR.
they LOVE outdoor lighting.
they can see where they're going and what they're doing, and not make any NOISE,
bcs NOISE is what alerts people to an intruder, NOT outdoor lighting.
fuckwits.
also known and also agreed. don't let fuel stand for months. even pure hydrocarbon fuel will fuck up carburetors and injectors if it sat around too long. it's actually the OXYGEN in the air that is the culprit. just add a small amt of a free-radical scavenger to stabilize the fuel. problem solved.
>Found mainly in newest generation of pilots.
females, niggers, sandniggers, chinks, ragheads, diversity hires in general.
the oldest generation of white male pilots started building shit when they were five with METAL erector sets (nuts and bolts and electric motors and gears that would bite your fingers). anyone who believes book learning is a substitute for that is a fucking retard (btw, i'm a chem-eng professor).
