"I completely agree about Alex's physical condition. There is simply no way someone as fit and strong as he was at 25, would ever be in such a mess by 35 (he's lost a bit of weight recently, but go back a few years and he was humongous). It is so ridiculously obvious the original was replaced, and that that's the big scandal, but people barely seem to notice this and just go on and on about Alex being Bill Hicks!
Also, if you watch the full first documentary he did from beginning to end, you see just how completely different he is in personality, vocabulary, mannerisms, etc etc, to the Alex we have now. The original Alex is much brighter and more articulate, as well as having better manners (calls people "sir" and "ma'am", rather than the "buddy" and "lady" the current version employs), and I also noticed he often uses an unusual and rather anachronistic term, "fixin'", meaning wanting to or planning to - "We're fixin' to get into this state building". He uses it a lot, and it stands out because it's unusual - but I have NEVER heard the current Alex use that term, in any of his shows going back to 2000."
