Which is why they used them in WW2 on both sides. The difference being the Americans used regular Amphetamine (sulfate I think) while the Germans used Methamphetamine with a MUCH longer half life.
The Americans would do their missions, then sleep soundly. The Germans would stay up for days, becoming more and more paranoid
