The reason the RCC has a statistically higher rate of that kind of thing than other groups is likely their stance on priest celibacy (anyway, having priests in the first place is unbiblical, let alone church leaders having to stay unmarried, but what do you expect? 'unbiblical' is the best way to sum up the RCC in a single word after all)
I agree with some of what people say about this subject, e.g. gender-specific colors being a complete invention of our society, and kids should be able to like whatever color they want.. but it's only "reasonable" to an extent. Sure, kids do all sorts of weird things - they're basically still getting used to existing.. but when it comes to the gender stuff, there's a point where it becomes nothing but delusional thinking and mental illness. Also, I would never encourage my son (if I had one) to do something that is as much of a bully-magnet as wearing girls clothes.
I guess you're not a believer yourself, but all Christians believe that scripture as a whole is inspired by the Holy Spirit. If they're gonna claim to be Christians, they should stop inventing doctrine and stick to the Bible. e.g. Galatians 1:9 says "As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed"
