The liberal progressive democrat candidate, Milwaukee County Judge Janet Protasiewicz, has seen millions of dollars poured into the statewide race on her behalf from outside progressive liberal groups and has promised how she would rule from the bench, which is highly unethical for a judicial candidate, to the point where she has had to finally publicly announce that she will now have to recuse herself from many cases that could potentially come before her on the supreme court should she win the election.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported, in part, on many personal issues involving Protasiewicz including her most recent revelation of using a very offensive word referring to certain ethnic groups in America while she served as a judge over many cases involving these ethnic groups.

Constitutional conservative Justice Dan Kelly (2016-20) is also running for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Now, seemingly out of the blue and with very little public notification, the Wisconsin Election Commission is suddenly participating in what is being billed as, “Trusted Election Forum”, on the eve of the Wisconsin Supreme Court Race that is being promoted as the most important race in America for 2023 while progressive liberal democrats hope to continue their “reset.”

Kenyan President William Ruto urged his constituents who “hoard” US dollars to get rid of them as the government plans to import fuel in Kenya shillings.

Ruto’s comment comes after the exchange rate for the dollar rose to as high as Kenyan Shilling 145.5, according to Capital FM.

However, dollar requests are expected to decrease in the coming weeks after the Kenyan government and its Saudi counterpart signed an import agreement for fuel importation on credit.

“And So I just want to assure those in Kenya who were facing challenges of access to dollars that we have taken steps to ensure that dollar availability in the next couple of weeks is going to be very different because our fuel companies will now be paying for fuels in Kenya shilling,” the President said during the listing of the Laptrust Imara I-REIT at the Nairobi Securities Exchange last Wednesday.

Train Carrying Hazardous Materials Falls Off Tracks, Sends Dozens of Cars Toppling: Officials

A 70-car train carrying hazardous materials derailed in North Dakota, officials said Monday.

The train derailed at around 1 a.m. on Monday about 2 miles from Wyndmere in Richland County, sheriff’s officials told local media outlets. No deaths or injuries were reported, officials said.

Of the 70 cars, some 31 derailed off the tracks, officials said. Some of the cars were reportedly leaking petroleum products used to make asphalt, officials told Valley News Live, while adding that there is no danger to the public.

Richland County Sheriff’s officials told Valley News Live that several streets in Wyndmere will be shut down for cleanup and is expected to last between seven and 10 days. Reports indicate that the train was operated by Canadian Pacific.

Wyndmere is located in the southeast portion of North Dakota, around 50 miles from both the Minnesota and South Dakota borders. Both Wyndmere and Richland counties are sparsely populated, with Richland having a population of about 16,000 and Wyndmere having 400, respectively.

The incident marks the latest derailment in recent weeks after the highly publicized railroad disaster in East Palestine, Ohio, in February. In that incident, dozens of cars derailed before officials were forced to release hazardous chemicals and evacuations of East Palestine residents.

On Sunday, meanwhile, officials said that several Canadian Pacific train cars derailed in a Chicago-area suburb. Neither car was carrying hazardous materials, authorities told a local Fox News affiliate.

Days before that, five freight CSX train cars derailed in Massachusetts. No hazardous materials or injuries were reported, officials told Fox News.

“There were no reported injuries to the crew, no hazardous materials involved, no leaks or spills of any freight and no impacts to the environment,” a spokesperson from CSX told the broadcaster. “CSX personnel are responding as the incident occurred on a line jointly owned with Norfolk Southern. We are working closely with local first responders to assess the situation and develop a recovery plan.”

Over the weekend, officials confirmed that toxic water from East Palestine may be sent to Baltimore County, Maryland, drawing pushback from local officials. On March 24, Baltimore County executive John Olszewski and Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott announced that hundreds of thousands of gallons of contaminated water would be processed at the Back River Wastewater Treatment plant in Dundalk.

“Both the county executive and I have grave concerns about the waste from this derailment coming into our facilities and being discharged into our system,” Scott said at a news conference. “As such, we will exercise additional caution and due diligence and ask for additional testing before authorizing the discharge of any treated water from this event to the public wastewater collection system and the Back River treatment plant.”

France Willing To Work With China On 'Peaceful Solution' For Ukraine

French President Emmanuel Macron’s diplomatic adviser has told China’s top diplomat, Wang Yi, that Paris is willing to work with Beijing to find a "peaceful solution" to the war in Ukraine.

"France is ready to make joint efforts with China to facilitate the cessation of hostilities and seek a peaceful solution," Emmanuel Bonne told Wang, according to a Chinese readout of a phone call that took place on Thursday.

The readout said Bonne "expressed appreciation for China’s positive role in promoting peace talks." The French position is radically different than the Biden administration’s as the White House came out against the idea of a ceasefire in Ukraine ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s trip to Moscow.

President Biden also immediately dismissed the idea of China mediating between Russia and Ukraine after Beijing released a 12-point peace plan for the conflict. He said the idea of China being involved in the negotiations is not "rational."

Wang told Bonne in the call that China is hoping to come to a "strategic consensus" with the EU on the issue of Ukraine and wants European countries to promote the idea of peace talks.

"China expects France and other European countries to also play their due role in this regard. Ceasefire, resumption of peace talks and political settlement of the crisis should become the strategic consensus between China and the EU," the Chinese readout said.

Other world leaders have expressed support for China’s initiatives, including Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

Lula was due to visit China this week but had to cancel after catching pneumonia. Before the cancellation, the Brazilian leader said he would propose a "peace club" with China to help mediate an end to the war in Ukraine.

Credit-Suisse-Killing Saudi National Bank Chair Resigns "For Personal Reasons"

Almost two weeks following an interview with Bloomberg TV, in which Saudi National Bank Chairman Ammar Al Khudairy, who is also Credit Suisse Group AG's largest shareholder, ruled out the possibility of raising his stake in the struggling Swiss lender, the bank's stock immediately plummeted, leading to an abrupt takeover by rival UBS. Now the chairman of the Saudi National Bank has resigned, citing "personal reasons."

According to a filing on Riyadh's Tadawul stock exchange, Al Khudairy is being replaced by Saeed al-Ghamdi, the bank's current CEO. No further explanation was provided for Al Khudairy's departure, with the statement only mentioning it was "due to personal reasons."

His departure comes 12 days after he told Bloomberg TV in an interview that Saudi National Bank would "absolutely not" be open to increasing its Credit Suisse position.

"The answer is absolutely not, for many reasons outside the simplest reason, which is regulatory and statutory," the chairman of Saudi National Bank said on March. 15. That was in response to a question on whether the bank was open to further injections if there was another call for additional liquidity.

Immediately following Al Khudairy's remarks, Credit Suisse's shares plummeted by 30%.

Yousaf’s father is from Pakistan and his mother is from Kenya.

Humza Yousaf on Monday was elected the new head of the Scottish National Party, promising in a speech to bring the party together, support citizens with the cost-of-living crisis and deliver independence from the United Kingdom.

He is slated to assume political leadership in Scotland following his nomination in the Scottish Parliament on Tuesday.

Yousaf said his immediate priority would be to “protect every Scot, as far as we possibly can, from the harm inflicted by the cost-of-living crisis, to recover and reform our NHS and other vital public services, to support our wellbeing economy, to improve the life chances of people right across this country.”

He added that he would work on plans to “extend childcare, improve rural housing, support small businesses and boost innovation.”

The SNP supports the campaign for Scotland to gain independence from the United Kingdom and holds a majority of 64 of the 129 seats in the Scottish parliament, giving it control over devolved areas that include housing, education, justice, local government and areas of taxation.

Yousaf, currently Scotland’s health secretary, has served in government since 2012 and was considered the favorite in the race against Kate Forbes and Ash Regan.

In 2020, Humza Yousaf delivered a tirade in parliament about too many white people in the Scottish government.

Published reports cited a mail by Tesla CEO Elon Musk which said, "I see a clear, but difficult, path to a >$250B valuation,” meaning stock granted now would be worth 10 times more.

Mr. Musk also said in the email that Twitter is being reshaped so rapidly that the company can be thought of as an inverse startup. He said radical changes have been necessary in part to ensure that Twitter didn’t go bankrupt.

Honduras has officially established diplomatic ties with China and severed them with Taiwan, ending an 82-year relationship, claiming there’s “only one China in the world.”

“The two governments agreed to develop friendly ties on the basis of the principles of mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, non-aggression, no intervention in each other’s internal affairs, equality, mutual benefit and coexistence peaceful.”

“The two countries also agreed to cooperate on issues of mutual interest by which will jointly promote, in their respective instances, the signing of agreements in cooperation areas such as finance, trade, infrastructure, energy, technology, culture, tourism, education and health, among others, based on the benefit mutual and shared integral development,” the ministry added.

Honduras said it recognizes “only one China in the world.”

“The Government of Honduras recognizes that there is only one China in the world and that The Government of the People’s Republic of China is the only legitimate Government that represents all of China.”

It added that: “Taiwan is an inalienable part of Chinese territory, and as of today, the Honduran government has informed Taiwan the severance of diplomatic relations, pledging not to have any official relationship or contact with Taiwan.”

Honduras is the ninth diplomatic ally that Taipei has lost to Beijing, bringing the total number of countries that recognize Taiwan down to 13, according to The Guardian.

A spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry responded to Honduras’ statement on ties with China.

Israeli embassies close ‘until further notice’

Diplomats joined the general strike over PM Netanyahu’s judicial reform proposal

Multiple Israeli embassies and consulates were closed on Monday, after diplomats and staff joined the general strike in protest over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s judiciary reform proposal.

“The Embassy of Israel will be closed today until further notice and no consular services will be provided,” Elad Strohmayer, spokesman for the embassy in Washington, tweeted on Monday morning. A tweet in Hebrew on the embassy’s account confirmed his announcement.

Strohmayer explained that the Histadrut, Israel’s largest labor union, “instructed all government employees to go on strike, including Israel’s diplomatic missions around the world.”

Israel’s embassy in France also joined the strike. The embassy in the UK, however, made no announcements on its account, while Ambassador Tzipi Hotovely was tweeting in praise of security and intelligence cooperation with London.

The general strike has already shut down the Ben Gurion international airport in Tel Aviv and much of Israel’s healthcare system. The Histadrut said the unusual measure was intended to “stop the madness” of the proposed judiciary reform.

Netanyahu’s plan to curb the powers of the Supreme Court has been met with widespread indignation. Protests against the measure drew over 600,000 people to the streets of Tel Aviv on Saturday. Asaf Zamir, Israel’s consul general in New York, resigned in protest. Defense Minister Yoav Gallant made a public statement against the reform on Sunday, and was promptly dismissed.

“For the sake of the unity of the people of Israel, for the sake of responsibility, I am calling on you to stop legislation immediately,” President Isaac Herzog urged the government on Sunday night.

Judiciary reform is a key demand of one of Netanyahu’s coalition partners, however. If he withdraws the proposal, the government might lose the Knesset majority, forcing a sixth parliamentary election in five years.

Massive protests over the controversial reform threaten the nation’s security, economy, and society, Isaac Herzog has warned

Israeli President Isaac Herzog urged the government on Sunday night to put the brakes on the divisive judicial overhaul which has sparked months of protests across the country.

His comments came hours after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fired his defense minister, Yoav Gallant, who had spoken out against the proposed reform. The move added fuel to the nationwide demonstrations, which were attended by over 600,000 people on Saturday, according to local media reports.

During the latest protests, demonstrators completely blocked the Ayalon Highway in Tel Aviv, while setting bonfires and chanting ‘democracy’. Police used water cannons to disperse the crowd.

Clashes also erupted in Jerusalem as activists broke through the barriers and engaged the police outside Netanyahu’s private residence.

As the protests intensified, Herzog took to Twitter, addressing Netanyahu and the governing coalition. “For the sake of the unity of the people of Israel, for the sake of responsibility, I am calling on you to stop legislation immediately,” he wrote, adding that the protests are threatening Israel’s security, economy, and society.

Former Israeli PM Naftali Bennett also weighed in, stating that the nation “is in greater danger than at any time since the Yom Kippur war,” referring to the 1973 Arab-Israeli conflict. He urged Netanyahu to reverse the dismissal of the defense minister, freeze the judicial overhaul, and “enter a period of discussions.”

NPR Issues Correction After Claiming There’s ‘Limited Scientific Evidence’ Men Have Physical Advantages In Sports

National Public Radio (NPR) issued a correction to its Friday tweet claiming there is “limited scientific evidence” men have athletic advantages over women.

“Correction: An earlier tweet incorrectly stated there is limited scientific evidence of physical advantage. Existing research shows that higher levels of testosterone do impact athletic performance. But there’s limited research involving elite trans athletes in competition,” NPR said on Sunday.

NPR’s original tweet linked to a story about the World Athletics Council voting to prevent biological males from competing as women in women’s athletic competitions. The council voted to exclude biological males who went through male puberty and identify as transgender from the female category as of Mar. 31, 2023.

“The international governing body for track and field will ban trans women athletes from elite women’s competitions, citing a priority for fairness over inclusion, despite limited scientific evidence of physical advantage,” NPR originally tweeted.

The tweet was deleted after Twitter fact-checked NPR’s claims with numerous studies demonstrating the physical advantage biological males have in sports, even when they claim to be transgender and receive female hormones. Each study was published by a major medical journal in the U.S. or internationally.

“Significant evidence from numerous studies demonstrates that trans-athletes maintain a competitive physical advantage despite gender-affirming care,” Twitter’s fact check says. The platform’s fact check feature allows users to submit relevant context that gets attached to a tweet when other users rate it as helpful.

The scientific evidence backs up real world scenarios where biological males have outperformed women and broken records in female athletic competitions. Lia Thomas, born William Thomas, broke multiple records as a swimmer for the University of Pennsylvania’s women’s team after Thomas ranked 462nd on the men’s team.

Tractor Protests Spread: 5,000 Slovenian Farmers Stand Against EU Green Agenda

5,000 farmers are said to have taken part in a tractor rally in Slovenia in order to protest green agenda rules implemented by both national and EU officials in the country.

Thousands of farmers across Slovenia reportedly took to the country’s streets in their tractors on Friday in order to protest various green agenda rules in place in the country.

The demo is reminiscent of similar events that are now regularly taking place in other EU countries, with farmers in Germany, Flanders and the Netherlands all having taken part in similar rallies protesting EU green rules.

According to a report by Euractiv, around 5,000 farmers are said to have taken part in the protest, which has largely been in response to recent ruling restricting the use of pesticides in certain areas over water pollution fears.

Farmers are also angry about legal protections for wolves and brown bears in the country — both of which have reportedly been involved in attacks on livestock — as well as widespread EU environmentalist protections affecting one-third of Slovenia’s total landmass.

Those in the farming sector are now demanding that the government acts within ten days to curb many of these measures, warning that they will escalate their protests if the movement’s demands are not met.

Speaking on the protest, President of the Trade Union of Slovenian Farmers, Anton Medved, claimed that Slovenian farmers had been “sacrificed for the environmental experiments of activists and civil servants” before adding that both the “Green countryside and national prosperity are the results of the work of farmers”.

“We expect they will receive us within ten days. If not, we will step up our activities,” he went on to say.

Italy says operations of navy, coast guard obstructed by NGOs amid refugee influx

‘Immigration to Italy cannot be regulated by private bodies funded by foreign countries,’ says deputy prime minister

Italy said the operations of its navy and coast guard in the Mediterranean are obstructed by NGOs as the flow of migrants to the country grows, local media reported on Monday.

Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini said these concerns should be taken seriously.

Rescue ship Louise Michel was detained over the weekend in the Mediterranean port city of Lampedusa by Greek authorities.

"It is Italy that is under attack, not the NGOs,” said Salvini, adding that “immigration to Italy cannot be regulated by private bodies funded by foreign countries.”

Similarly, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said: "If there are rules they must be respected,” in relation to the measures introduced by the government to regulate the activities of NGOs conducting search and rescue operations in the central Mediterranean.

Furthermore, the agency underscored that some 650 more refugees arrived in the Calabrian port of Roccella Ionica on Sunday night.

UK Government quietly confirms Triple+ Vaccinated accounted for 92% of COVID Deaths in 2022

Official figures sneakily published by the UK Government, reveal that the triple+ vaccinated population accounted for 92% of Covid-19 deaths throughout the entirety of 2022, and 9 in every 10 Covid-19 deaths in England over the past two years. Erdoğan calls for ‘immediate’ end to war in Ukraine during call with Putin

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called for an “immediate” end to the war in Ukraine during a call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday.

Erdoğan “highlighted the importance Türkiye attaches to the immediate cessation of the Russia-Ukraine conflicts through negotiations” and “thanked President Putin for his positive stance regarding the extension of the Black Sea Grain Initiative,” according to a statement from Turkey’s Directorate of Communications.

The Black Sea Grain Initiative, which was brokered by the United Nations and Turkey last July, allows Ukrainian grain exports to safely travel through the Black Sea.

Russia agreed to renew the deal for another 60 days last weekend but warned that any further extension would require the easing of Western sanctions, according to Reuters.

While Turkey has largely maintained economic ties with Russia throughout its yearlong war in Ukraine, Ankara ordered companies last month to halt the transit of goods to Russia that are sanctioned by the U.S. and European Union, Bloomberg reported.

Erdoğan’s appeal for a cease-fire and negotiations come on the heels of a similar call for an end to hostilities made by China and Belarus earlier this month. However, the two countries’ efforts were largely eyed with skepticism by the West, as both appear to have drawn increasingly close to Russia.

As more confirmations come forth regarding the Biden family’s business dealings in China, Americans are calling on the president to address the "significant and important" financial connection.

"When you see this kind of a connection between a sitting president, his son, and the Chinese government, when people just don't trust this and know that it's one of the biggest threats facing us right now, that's a really big issue that needs to be addressed," Maslansky + Partners President Lee Carter said on "Mornings with Maria" Monday.

Her comments come on the heels of Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., revealing Sunday to host Maria Bartiromo that Chinese-American-owned Cathay Bank disclosed Biden family bank records that match U.S. regulator records.

"A bank from China, let's face it, the Communist Party controls those types of institutions, they willingly gave us the documents that backed up the Treasury records," Johnson said on "Sunday Morning Futures."

While Cathay Bank was founded in the U.S. in 1962 and is currently headquartered in Chinatown, Los Angeles, Calif., they also house representative offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Taipei, according to its website. It also claims to be America’s oldest operating bank founded by Chinese Americans.

Despite President Biden denying in recent weeks that his son Hunter Biden, brother Jim, and Hallie Biden, the widow of his son Beau, received split payments of $1 million from Hunter’s business associate Rob Walker, Johnson claimed the new Cathay Bank records solidify the House Oversight Committee’s investigation into the family’s international business ventures.

"Is that the Chinese Communist Party, is that a shot across President Biden's bow saying, listen, this is some of the information we have. If you don't toe the line, if you don't do things that displease us, we're going to even provide… more information?" Johnson questioned. "So we obviously have a multiple-tier system of justice."

Carter further argued Monday that Americans’ concerns around Biden’s potential Chinese collusion are valid.

"This isn't just a Chinese bank, this is an American bank that was founded by Chinese Americans," Carter said. "After everything that we've been through with China, at this moment, only 15% of Americans trust China… the American people are rightly concerned. They deserve to have answers. And I think at a minimum, the president needs to make a statement and address people's concerns because they're valid."

Biden Admin Pledges Taxpayer Cash To Support Young Climate Activists Abroad

USAID effort also includes call to address 'climate-related mental health conditions'

The Biden administration plans to use taxpayer funds to inspire and support young climate activists in developing countries—even as it acknowledges that young people suffer from "climate-related mental health conditions."

President Joe Biden's U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) last year released its 2022-2030 climate strategy, which outlines a $150 billion "whole-of-Agency approach" to building an "equitable world with net-zero greenhouse gas emissions." Included in that effort is a pledge to support "behavior change and communications campaigns" that "encourage youth's active participation" in the climate movement. Young people, the agency says, "have emerged in recent years as key actors … in demanding government action to tackle the climate crisis," prompting USAID to increase its funding for "youth-led organizations" working to fight climate change in at least 40 partner countries.

Still, that effort comes with challenges. While young people make great climate activists, they also experience "a broad range of climate-related mental health conditions," according to the agency's strategy document. Any effort to support young climate activists, then, must also include support for "programs at scale that address these issues." USAID's strategy document specifically calls to recognize the "growing importance" of young people suffering from "eco-anxiety," which the American Psychology Association describes as "the chronic fear of environmental cataclysm that comes from observing the seemingly irrevocable impact of climate change."

The USAID plan reflects Biden's government-wide mandate to fight climate change. Just one week after taking office, Biden in January 2021 issued an executive order calling on all government agencies to "combat the climate crisis with bold, progressive action." Even the Department of Veterans Affairs responded in August 2021 by releasing a "Climate Action Plan," and USAID—which had not released a new climate strategy since 2012—followed suit roughly a year later.

At the heart of the agency's climate strategy is a concern over increased energy consumption in developing nations, which USAID says will grow by 70 percent in the next three decades. In order to avoid the "longer-term emissions trajectories" that come with that energy consumption growth, the agency says it must promote green energy and elevate young climate activist voices in "emerging economies." For Daniel Turner, founder and executive director of energy advocacy group Power the Future, such a strategy "punishes the developing world by refusing them to have what we have, which is the prosperity that comes from fossil fuels."

"It's just horrifying to think we spend tax dollars, giving it to poor countries, to create more Greta Thunbergs," Turner told the Washington Free Beacon. "There's nothing charitable about that—if anything, it's the epitome of first world privilege."

USAID did not return a request for comment. The agency says it exists to provide "timely and effective humanitarian response," especially through "disaster relief and lifesaving assistance amidst complex crises." In many cases, however, the agency's money supports more controversial causes.

In November, for example, Biden's USAID announced a $78,000 grant to a Palestinian activist group whose leaders praised a man who murdered a U.S. military attaché and participated in a celebration for a Palestinian terrorist group. The agency in late 2021 also sent millions of dollars to EcoHealth Alliance, the research group that funded bat virus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Biden in January 2021 tapped former Obama aide Samantha Power to head USAID. Power quickly touted her work "helping countries adapt to a warming climate" and later said climate change is "sexist" because women are "much more likely … to be killed by natural and climate disasters." USAID's climate work has seen Power travel the world—in March, the Democrat filmed a correspondence from a Vietnamese fish farm, where she said farmers are "already feeling the effects of climate change." Power also met with Iraq's foreign minister in February, not to discuss issues such as ISIS terrorism, but to praise the nation's "ongoing work to address climate change."

Israeli Disinformation Expert Linked to Faked Bank Accounts in Serbian Smear Campaign

A leaked report sheds light on the source of a mysterious media attack on the Serbian president’s political rival.

A pro-government media campaign targeting former Belgrade mayor Dragan Đilas was based on a “global bank scan” report obtained by journalists.

Disinformation group ‘Team Jorge’ was likely behind the report used by the Serbian officials.

‘Team Jorge’ leader Tal Hanan has previously been investigated for selling forged financial intelligence to a Swiss spy for $88,000.

As Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić embarked on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates in March 2021, he was under scrutiny due to recent revelations about his government’s ties to a murderous organized crime group. But as is his custom, Vučić instead went on the attack, using an opportunity of an interview with friendly media outlet TV Pink to address another subject.

Six days later, Serbian pro-government newspapers began publishing stories about Đilas’ supposed offshore accounts.

“Đilas hiding money in Mauritius and Switzerland: on 12th of December 2020 he had almost 6.4 million euros in bank accounts in these two countries,” claimed a front-page story in the Serbian pro-government daily Večernje Novosti.

Virginia Mayor Indicted for Violating Federal Clean Water Act

ROANOKE, Va. – A federal grand jury in Roanoke, Virginia has indicted James Howard Spencer, the Mayor of Glen Lyn, Virginia, for his alleged violation of the Clean Water Act (CWA).

The CWA was enacted by Congress to restore and maintain the chemical, physical, and biological quality of the nation’s waterways.

The indictment, returned under seal March 9, 2023 and unsealed following the defendant’s initial court appearance, charges Spencer with three counts of violating the CWA.

“The protection of our nation’s waters is critical to ensuring environmental justice for all the residents of the Western District of Virginia,” United States Attorney Christopher R. Kavanaugh said today. “When individuals – especially those in positions of authority –pollute our rivers and streams in violation of the law, our Office will hold them accountable.”

“The defendant abused his position of authority and violated the public’s trust by ordering public employees of Glen Lyn to illegally discharge raw sewage into the East River, a tributary of the New River,” said Acting Special Agent in Charge Richard Conrad. “EPA is committed to prosecuting those who choose to violate our environmental laws, especially those who hold a position of public trust such as Mayor Spencer.”

The indictment alleges that Spencer directed employees of the Town of Glen Lyn to pump sewage and other pollutants from a pump station located behind the Glyn Lyn Post Office into the East River, which is a perennial stream and tributary of the New River. Spencer took these alleged actions on three separate occasions, in the summer of 2019, December 2020, and again in June 2021.

United States Attorney Christopher R. Kavanaugh, Colonel Gary T. Settle, Superintendent of the Virginia State Police, and Acting Special Agent in Charge Richard Conrad made the announcement today.

The ongoing investigation is being jointly handled by the Environmental Protection Agency’s Criminal Investigation Division and the Virginia State Police.

Assistant U.S. Attorney and Environmental Justice Coordinator Michael Baudinet is prosecuting the case for the United States.

An indictment is merely an allegation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Anthony Fauci discussed "the outbreak and chimeras" — fragments from different viruses stitched together into a new creation — with an American scientist collaborating with the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in February 2020, Freedom of Information Act documents suggest.

Previous FOIA disclosures imply that Fauci, then-director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, played an unacknowledged role in a paper concluding that COVID-19 emerged naturally.

A new preprint study, not yet peer-reviewed, found a "novel coronavirus contaminating agricultural rice RNA sequencing datasets from Wuhan, China," whose composition suggests gain-of-function research related to Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome, caused by a coronavirus from the same family as COVID-19.

Roger Marshall (R-Kan.), a fellow doctor derided as a "moron" by Fauci. (The FBI's confidence was reportedly "moderate.")

Marshall's view was backed by public health watchdog U.S. Right to Know, whose FOIA requests revealed a National Institutes of Health staffer deleted genetic sequences from NIH's Sequence Read Archive at a Chinese researcher's request in March 2020. NIH tried to hide both their identities after the fact.

Former Anglican priest Louis Daniels pleads guilty to abuse after extradition back to Tasmania

A man who was sexually abused as a child by a former Anglican priest told his perpetrator in court that he still could not talk to his parents about the abuse and felt ongoing shame.

Convicted paedophile priest Louis Victor Daniels, 75, has pleaded guilty to two counts of persistent sexual abuse of a young person.

The Supreme Court in Hobart was told Daniels was an Anglican priest and Church of England Boys' Society leader when he abused two boys over nine years between 1978 and 1987.

One of his victims read a statement via video link detailing how the assault had impacted most aspects of his life.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said Daniels had been trusted by his parents.

"Daniels manipulated my mother and father to gain access to me, and they thought they could trust him because of his position within the Anglican church," he told the court.

"It was hard to believe a man held in such high esteem could be a predator on so many children, and even to this day, I can't talk to my parents about the abuse.

"There is a world of memories and psychological trauma I keep hidden, and I don't share them with anyone."

He told the court he had struggled with his mental health as a result of the abuse and was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following a psychological breakdown.

He takes anti-depressants as well as medication for the flashbacks.

The court heard the offending only stopped when a senior leader from the Anglican church intervened.

Crown prosecutor Claire Flockhart read out a statement on behalf of the second man who was sexually abused by Daniels as a teenager in Tasmania.

He met Daniels when he attended weekly church meetings and annual Church of England Boys Society camps.
