I'm Ausanon so just my opinion. It is described as a massacre when the Las Vegas shooting and pretty much everything before that was a "mass shooting" or school shooting or church shooting.
Mass shooting is now a "massacre". BTW, 58 people died in Vegas, that WAS a massacre, but still listed as (just checked) a "mass shooting".
