OMG, I'm such a failure.
Pack 'er up, anons. Vivek is no Ralph Nader. I was all wrong about him.
V for Venerable.
V for Victory.
V for Vivek.
DeSantis and Trump are done.
What do you have against progress, anon?
Wow. Living right next to two schools where shootings took place 21 years apart in two different states is like almost getting struck by lightning twice. That's crazy coincidental! I hope Melissa is OK. I mean, she said they were OK, but I really hope she's OK. It's good that she believes in the power of prayer. Prayer moves mountains. What you ask for in secret will be made manifest. She must have a hedge of protection over her kids seeing how they were out of school that day, and safe at home. And I agree with you, Melissa. We should take action! How about placing some armed security guards in schools? How about arming teachers and other staff? These are great courses of action. What do you think, Melissa?
>Need I say more?
No, anon, you done said it all.
V is for "Vhere'd that money come from!?"
This really isn't exactly how it happens, but those that believe it is will always find a way to blame everything they don't like as the root cause of all the woes that crushed their "traditional society" that made the way. What's actually happening is much more complicated and has a great deal more to do with power voids, and those seeking to fill the void set the populace against itself in any/all forms so that they may vie for the authoritative position once the chaos settles. They really don't care the end state that the power void is filled, so long as they are the ones sitting at the top.
Every generation that has ever existed has never seemed to realize something about the reality they live in. That reality is contrived of what was allowed to be observed, and what was imposed to be believed. People get caught up in the idea that "When things were this way, our society was so much better!" instead of recognizing that even back then, things were going so well because there was already a control mechanism in place that was benefitting the most powerful exponentially.
If you're going to believe this crazy narrative of "6000 years they've controlled everyone!" then you have to believe that every rise and fall was a crafted, controlled demolition. This "golden years" notion has nothing to do with "traditional values" being the dominant, or only one allowed. There were always diverse groups practicing and believing whatever they wanted and living life how they chose, and there were lots of overlap in some basic things like "family unit" and "do unto others". People that sort of did their own thing were mostly just quiet about it, and "live and let live" was real even if there were some tensions. The "Golden Years" of any civilization is marked, mostly, with the general idea of government existing for the protection and preservation of the people; notably, leaving them the fuck alone when they aren't trying to help them, and keeping foreign invaders out.
So, again, Scott is trying to make the meme real, but the meme is a deflection of what really worked, and a narrative used to craft perceptions. Route out the shit subversions and the problems in society mostly resolve themselves.
