I’ve been thinking about homeschooling. No kids in this household but I have knowledge in gardening and animal husbandry. Am thinking about contacting the families I know who homeschool and offering my services on a volunteer basis, as a teacher, as well as coordinating to link these families together. My vision is a small school, taught by a teacher, paid fairly by the families. Essentially, a one room schoolhouse.
This is the type of thing I think we as anons, could do to affect our LOCAL community in a good way. F Washington DC, I can’t do anything about that, but I can make my skills useful on a small level.
What can you do, locally?
Ironically, Verizon sent us letter after letter last year telling me my older phone was going to be obsolete.. upgrade now!! Dec 31 was going to be the 4g shut off. Didn’t buy a new phone. I just plugged the old one back in and as of today, it still works. Was it a scam to make people ditch old phones? Not sure.
