Jean-Pierre: We've been very clear about these anti-LGBTQ bills that we're seeing in state legislatures across the country, in particular these anti-trans bills, as they attack trans-kids, as they attack trans-parents. It is shameful. It is unacceptable…we should be lifting up our trans-kids, our trans-youth…our hearts go out to the trans community. [Biden] has said many times before he has their backs…he will continue to fight for them.
Jean-Pierre: We know what needs to happen. Banning assault weapons is one of the clearest ways, that's what the data shows us, that we can get weapons of war off the streets.
Jean-Pierre: I think [Biden] is able to pick out his own Starbucks.
Reporter: There is an expert from the Machine Intelligence Research Institute who says that if there is not an indefinite pause on AI development, "literally everyone on Earth will die." Would you agree that does not sounds good?
Jean-Pierre: There is a comprehensive process in place. We put out a blueprint [AI Bill of Rights] back in October, as you know.
Reporter: Is [Biden] worried that artificial intelligence could become self-aware?
Jean-Pierre: There is a comprehensive process. We are taking this very seriously.
