No. That rifle had a scope added aftermarket. The hammer needed a thumb extension added to be able to easily operate it as the scope gets in the way. It also has a half cock position that is the safety for this rifle. If the hammer is down on a life round in the chamber it could negligently discharge if bumped. From the half cock safety position the shooter only needs to fully cock back the hammer and then squeeze the trigger while firmly squeezing the cocking loop with the palm of the hand as there is an additional safety feature at the handle. She is actually perfectly SAFE.
