Message of His Holiness Pope Francis to Prof. Klaus Schwab

Message of His Holiness Pope Francis to Prof. Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum Davos-Klosters (Switzerland), January 22-25, 2014.

By Holy See Mission

for immediate release Message of His Holiness Pope Francis to Prof. Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum Davos-Klosters (Switzerland), January 22-25, 2014.

To Professor Klaus Schwab, Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, I am very grateful for your kind invitation to address the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, which, as is customary, will be held at Davos-Klosters at the end of this month. Trusting that the meeting will provide an occasion for deeper reflection on the causes of the economic crisis affecting the world these past few years, I would like to offer some considerations in the hope that they might enrich the discussions of the Forum and make a useful contribution to its important work. Ours is a time of notable changes and significant progress in different areas which have important consequences for the life of humanity. In fact, “we must praise the steps being taken to improve people’s welfare in areas such as health care, education and communications” (Evangelii Gaudium, 52), in addition to many other areas of human activity, and we must recognize the fundamental role that modern business activity has had in bringing about these changes, by stimulating and developing the immense resources of human intelligence. Nonetheless, the successes which have been achieved, even if they have reduced poverty for a great number of people, often have led to a widespread social exclusion. Indeed, the majority of the men and women of our time still continue to experience daily insecurity, often with dramatic consequences. In the context of your meeting, I wish to emphasize the importance that the various political and economic sectors have in promoting an inclusive approach which takes into consideration the dignity of every human person and the common good. I am referring to a concern that ought to shape every political and economic decision, but which at times seems to be little more than an afterthought. Those working in these sectors have a precise responsibility towards others, particularly those who are most frail, weak and vulnerable. It is intolerable that thousands of people continue to die every day from hunger, even though substantial quantities of food are available, and often simply wasted. Likewise, we cannot but be moved by the many refugees seeking minimally dignified living conditions, who not only fail to find hospitality, but often, tragically, perish in moving from place to place. I know that these words are forceful, even dramatic, but they seek both to affirm and to challenge the ability of this assembly to make a difference. In fact, those who have demonstrated their aptitude for being innovative and for improving the lives of many people by their ingenuity and professional expertise can further contribute by putting their skills at the service of those who are still living in dire poverty. What is needed, then, is a renewed, profound and broadened sense of responsibility on the part of all.

“Business is - in fact - a vocation, and a noble vocation, provided that those engaged in it see themselves challenged by a greater meaning in life” (Evangelii Gaudium, 203). Such men and women are able to serve more effectively the common good and to make the goods of this world more accessible to all. Nevertheless, the growth of equality demands something more than economic growth, even though it presupposes it. It demands first of all “a transcendent vision of the person” (Benedict XVI, Caritas in Veritate, 11), because “without the perspective of eternal life, human progress in this world is denied breathing-space” (ibid.). It also calls for decisions, mechanisms and processes directed to a better distribution of wealth, the creation of sources of employment and an integral promotion of the poor which goes beyond a simple welfare mentality. I am convinced that from such an openness to the transcendent a new political and business mentality can take shape, one capable of guiding all economic and financial activity within the horizon of an ethical approach which is truly humane. The international business community can count on many men and women of great personal honesty and integrity, whose work is inspired and guided by high ideals of fairness, generosity and concern for the authentic development of the human family. I urge you to draw upon these great human and moral resources and to take up this challenge with determination and far-sightedness. Without ignoring, naturally, the specific scientific and professional requirements of every context, I ask you to ensure that humanity is served by wealth and not ruled by it. Dear Mr Chairman and friends, I hope that you may see in these brief words a sign of my pastoral concern and a constructive contribution to help your activities to be ever more noble and fruitful. I renew my best wishes for a successful meeting, as I invoke divine blessings on you and the participants of the Forum, as well as on your families and all your work. From the Vatican, 17 January 2014 FRANCISCUS PP

Rebuffed by Vatican, Pompeo Assails China and Aligns With Pope’s Critics

Pope Francis declined to see Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who is demanding a harder Vatican line on China. The Holy See said meeting just before a U.S. election would be inappropriate.

By Jason Horowitz and Lara Jakes

Sept. 30, 2020, 7:26 p.m. ET

ROME — Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently published a sharp letter excoriating the Vatican’s plans to renew an agreement with the Chinese government on Church operations in China. He promoted the article in a tweet, concluding, “The Vatican endangers its moral authority, should it renew the deal.”

An indignant Vatican took the article more as a calculated affront than a diplomatic gesture. The friction broke into the open on Wednesday as Mr. Pompeo arrived in Rome and met with prelates and others who are hostile to Pope Francis, while the Vatican denied him a meeting with the pontiff and rebuffed his efforts to derail the deal with China.

“Pompeo asked to meet” the pope, who turned him down because Francis had “clearly said that he does not receive political figures ahead of the elections,” Cardinal Pietro Parolin, who, as secretary of state, is the Vatican’s second-ranking official, told reporters.

But to some observers on both sides of the tensions between the Roman Catholic Church and the Trump administration, Mr. Pompeo’s visit is as much about the coming presidential election as about China policy. Mr. Pompeo dismissed that suggestion as absurd, but intended or not, his trip signals that President Trump is on the side of those conservative American Catholics who worry about the church’s direction under Francis and think he is soft on China.

Francis and Mr. Trump, who have exchanged sharp words in the past, present starkly different visions on issues ranging from the environment to immigration to the threat of populism. In appealing to the Vatican’s support for religious freedom as a reason to drop its China agreement, Mr. Pompeo seemed to seek common ground, but in a way that upset the pope’s chief allies and delighted his chief critics.

Cardinal Parolin said Mr. Pompeo’s article had caused “surprise” at the Vatican, because this visit to Rome by the secretary and the meetings with high officials at the Holy See had already been in the works and would have been a “more opportune” forum for airing grievances. He added that Mr. Pompeo’s choice to publish in First Things, a conservative Christian magazine that has called Francis a failure as Pope, also mattered.

Repent, [you] 1488 neo nazi methhead shill sinner [you]!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Q_source

The Q source (also called Q document(s), Q Gospel, or Q; from German: Quelle, meaning "source") is a hypothetical written collection of primarily Jesus' sayings (λόγια : logia). Q is part of the common material found in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke but not in the Gospel of Mark. According to this hypothesis, this material was drawn from the early Church's oral gospel traditions.[1][2][3]

Along with Marcan priority, Q was hypothesized by 1900, and is one of the foundations of most modern gospel scholarship.[4] B. H. Streeter formulated a widely accepted view of Q: that it was written in Koine Greek; that most of its contents appear in Matthew, in Luke, or in both; and that Luke more often preserves the text's original order than Matthew. In the two-source hypothesis, the three-source hypothesis and the Q+/Papias hypothesis, Matthew and Luke both used Mark and Q as sources. Some scholars have postulated that Q is actually a plurality of sources, some written and some oral.[5] Others have attempted to determine the stages in which Q was composed.[6]

Q's existence has been questioned.[6] Omitting what should have been a highly treasured dominical document from all early Church catalogs, its lack of mention by Jerome is a conundrum of modern Biblical scholarship.[7] However, copying Q might have been seen as unnecessary, as its contents were preserved in the canonical gospels. Hence, it may have been preferable to copy instead from the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, "where the sayings of Jesus from Q were rephrased to avoid misunderstandings, and to fit their own situations and their understanding of what Jesus had really meant".[8] Despite challenges, the two-source hypothesis retains wide support.[6]

Abp. Viganò: Trump’s LGBT gala shows Deep State has ‘contaminated the entire political elite’

The Republican Party is recklessly pursuing a minority of voters who are indulging in lifestyles that are contrary to the Commandments and to the common good.

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò

Tue Dec 20, 2022 - 10:01 pm EST

(LifeSiteNews) — A large scandal has been created, as well as discouragement, upon learning the news of the gala event hosted by President Donald J. Trump for openly homosexual supporters of the Republican Party.

This endorsement of LGBT ideology is even more serious if one considers that, only two days previously, Joe Biden signed the “Respect for Marriage Act” which recognizes the legal validity of so-called homosexual marriages in the United States, in violation of the Natural Law and also the Law of God.

The Democratic Party is totally anti-Christian and obstinately determined to implement the globalist agenda of the New World Order.

On the other hand, the Republican Party is recklessly pursuing a minority of voters who are indulging in lifestyles that are contrary to the Commandments and to the common good.

American Catholics find themselves today in the impossible situation of being represented by a political class that is revealing itself to be completely incapable of representing and expressing Catholic convictions in moral and religious matters.

This causes voters to become disaffected, which is added to electoral fraud and scandals that are emerging about media censorship and the manipulation of electoral consensus.

Up until now, certain aspects of the political platform of the Republican Party were able to be overlooked to some extent due to the much more serious threat embodied by the Democratic Party.

But it is now evident that the action of the deep state has contaminated the entire political elite without distinction, even involving Donald Trump, who up until now seemed to be a source of hope for the future of the United States.

A nation that offends the Law of God cannot hope to be blessed by the Lord, and those who support sinful lifestyles ought to think of the Judgment that awaits them rather than pleasing those who are corrupt in a calculated effort to win votes.

This nonchalance in political action by Republicans is no less harmful than the open opposition to the perennial Magisterium of the Church on the part of Democrats.

I urge American Catholics to pray, asking the Lord to enlighten politicians of sound principles, urging them to fight with courageous commitment for the defense of the Natural Law and the Commandments of God.

former Apostolic Nuncio to the United States of America

To Trump: Your Support for Gay Propaganda Will Not Make America Great Again

Corrupting children and undermining the family, as the LGBTQ movement does, only weakens a country, Mr. President.

byGeorge NeumayrDecember 21, 2022, 10:02 PM Part I

Donald Trump is usually a repository of common sense. But on matters related to “gay rights,” he is hopelessly unmoored from common sense. Trump’s support for that appalling movement, which is so destructive to the country, at a recent Log Cabin Republicans’ gala held at his Mar-a-Lago estate iscompletely indefensible.

The gross propaganda to which Trump offered inane homage strikes at the roots of a country’s strength, namely, the first form of government — the two-parent family that God placed at the center of his plan for humanity. God, not man, is the measure of morality, and he expressed clearly in the design of the human body and the difference between men and women that “gay rights” are a lying fiction that corrupts children and weakens a nation. Has Trump not been paying attention for the last five decades? The “gay rights” movement has been a disaster for the traditional family and children, exposing many of them to the implicit child abuse of “gay adoption” and increasingly hubristic “IVF” experiments. The “gay rights” movement has not made America great again. Rather, it has made America weak and depraved and has led to the abomination of transgenderism. Trump needs to think more and talk less and crack open the philosophical works of Aristotle and Thomas Aquinas, who recognized the depravity of homosexuality and its baneful influence on the common good. A “conservatism” that fails to see the centrality of the traditional family to the common good and fosters respect for a lifestyle that is utterly destructive of the family and the moral health of children isworthless.

Pull your head out of your ass, Mr. Trump, and defend the natural moral law, which is essential to the strength and longevity of a country. The Log Cabin Republicans are just a bunch ofdegenerates with fat wallets.Do you really need their money this badly, Mr. President?Your greed is pathetic. And I say this as someone who voted for you twice and sees you as an immensely amusing and, at times, admirable American original. Hell, I will probably vote for you again and may even vote for you against Ron DeSantis, should he choose to run. As a friend of mine put it to me, “DeSantis is not an upgrade on Trump on gay issues.” In other words, DeSantis is just as unsound on those issues as Trump. In fact, DeSantis began his run for governor by pooh-poohing the “bathroom wars.” Social conservatives, recall, supported his primary opponent. After he squeaked out his gubernatorial victory, he suddenly saw the value of the bathroom wars. But his opposition to the LGBTQ movement is restricted to the “T” in that tiresome acronym, and even on the issue of transgenderism his disdain only applies to its imposition on children, not adults. Yet even DeSantis, who is a mediocre retail politician at best, has the sense to keep his distance from frivolous Republicans who want to turn the GOP into the Gay Old Party. Trump has heedlessly seconded this movement, and, if it succeeds in dominating the party, America will be subject to two equally immoral parties spewing nonsense about sexuality and, thereby, creating a culture that renders any national greatness impossible.

No doubt the philosophically shallow Trumpwould scoff at this view and counsel me that I am too uptight. But that is simply not true: Opposition to the LGBTQ movement is not idle and pompous morality but an essential defense of Judeo-Christian civilization and the preservation of religious liberty. An LGBTQ America is a godless America in which Christians are treated as the worst, not the best, citizens in the country. Look back on the last days of the decadent Roman Empire, and you can see the civilizational oblivion where that perverse, upside-down culture leads.

Viganò criticizes Trump…

In this video, Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò criticizes President Donald Trump for attending the recent LMNOP+ Gala. Archbishop Viganò argues that the event signifies the moral decline in the US and the growth of the deep state. Former President Donald Trump recently hosted a gala for homosexual Republicans at Mar-a-Lago after Biden signed the so-called same-sex ‘marriage’ law or “Respect for Marriage Act”. Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, the former Apostolic Nuncio from the Vatican to Washington DC, has historically advocated for President Donald Trump in defense of the president's fight against Globalism, the Great Reset, and the Pro-Life cause. However, Viganò has recently criticized Trump for his open promotion of LMNOP advocates in the wake of President Biden's “Respect for Marriage Act”. Dr. Taylor Marshall explains Archbishop Viganò's recent disappointment over former President Donald Trump.
