I don't know this guy, but am in the general vicinity and can confirm Covington has a lot of damage. They are telling people to stay away and allow first responders to do their thing. Just heard the police chief on TV. The town sprawls, so it's not like it's wiped out or anything, but they do have a lot of trees down, lines down, building damage, hospital has some damage, etc.
