I would like Anons suggestion for which publication of the Bible I should buy.

I've been moved to re-kindle my faith but was baptized Catholic; a denomination to which I hold no allegiance. As an adult I know I am a Christian.

I know this an ignorant question, so I hope Anons will humour me if I ask… are the versions of the Bible one and the same?
