I used to think that until I caught the covid. and it wasn't until Oct 2022. 101-102 Fever for 3 days and no smell for about ten days. The no smell thing was like nothing I had experienced. It made it hard to eat because I couldn't taste anything. This type of loss of smell/taste was never a Flu symptom. Maybe stuffy nose but not a blatant distinct loss of smell. I had gone to a party and all 5 people in the car with me got it, and my Wife and Brother who lives with us. Very contagious it seemed.

And I would work in close proximity as a physical therapist and 90% of my clients were vaccinated. I never wore a mask so I never experienced Shedding the whole time. It was only after we has a huge work party with 150 people there which ended up being a super spreader event. At the beginning of the pandemic I thought it was all Psychological. If people saw it on TV they would work themselves up into being sick. The Placebo effect is real , if you think it will work it will work.
