What if it was a (very) small shaped charge explosive that was intentionally placed and triggered by the passing train?
Oddities to me are how the top of the track is obviously melted and while hot, the train rolled over and deformed the steel. Also notice the rounded lump hanging down from the bottom of the wheel bearing surface on the left side. Heat and pressure caused by a tiny shape charge explosive. We need a "9-11 controlled demolition" explosives fag in here as shaped charges were used there for the big diagonal cuts.
