>>Trump isn’t Christ
Legal & political parallels in the persecution of Trump & Christ
When you consider the trial of Jesus from a purely legal and political perspective (completely detached from any religious context), there are legitimate parallels to current case against Trump.
Just like the Temple priests on an April day nearly 2000 years ago, the Democrat establishment by their hypocrisy & hubris are empowering a Truthful individual to take a stand.
Pilate asks Jesus about "the many charges [the chief priests] bring against you," when Jesus makes "no further answer, Pilate wondered. For he perceived that it was out of envy that the chief priests had delivered him up."
Of course, I agree with you, anon, Trump isn’t in any way “Christ” or “the second coming”, which is patently absurd, but I wouldn’t put it past insane establishment democrats to push this PR stunt at this time, in part, hoping to bait evangelicals into framing him that way.
But, again, many legal scholars who were not Christian and probably even atheists have long argued that the egregious and non lawful persecution of Christ explains why the story (whether historical or mythical is irrelevant) has had such a profound impact on Western Jurisprudence. I read this literature years before Trump and while I am personally opposed to viewing Trump as some divine messiah, establishment democrats blind with pathological envy have unwittingly or not elevated Trump on a pedestal as the only man who can save America.
